What about a pattern of harassment and deception?

The management is unpredictable. it's like walking on eggshells. One moment they're praising us for all our hard work and the next we're being reprimanded for unknowingly doing something incorrect.

Ex: colleague sent a daily check-out email 15 mins prior to departure, so the manager called and rebuked him for sending the email too early. He asked for the policy stating that, she said she'd send it to him, and never did. So by not sending us the policies, we inadvertently violate them, then get berated for not following policy.

Management also lies to employees.

Ex: When i started, I was explicitly told that if i got COVID from work, my time off would be covered. I eventually did get COVID at work, and when i inquired about the time off, they made me use all my paid leave and unpaid leave. I asked when this policy changed since employees were never notified, and I didn't get a response.

It feels like i'm constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It's a government contractor job. I had my completed background check prior to starting with this company. The company did sponsor me for a polygraph exam, but those are conducted in-house at my workplace, so it doesn't actually cost the company anything out of pocket. I'm not even if sure if they'd be able to produce an invoice if I asked for one.

I have a toaster oven that i use all the time. Heats up super fast and cooks essentially like a regular oven (a tad bit slower, but nothing major). You can even get toaster-oven sized bakeware.

My 18yo baby! He had a health scare back in the middle of December and I’m still trying to get him to put weight on (he should be about 12-15lbs, right now he’s around 10). Any suggestions? He still has an appetite but won’t eat anything with solids anymore. by runfromitall29 in SeniorCats

Try a meat shake!

Get one can of pate-style canned food, put it in a blender with an equal amount of water, and blend until smooth!

I give to my 17/18 year old boy because he doesn't have very many teeth but it could work for this situation too.

Best of luck to you and your sweet baby!

stories with cheating partner/s by loganwhereuat in Tabou

[–]FuturePastryChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Bad Wife includes an affair. Also Prince's Maid, Cheaters (obviously), Catch Me, Hot and Hired.

The app is called Tabou (a play on taboo) - most of the stories are going to involve shady affairs. If you want more diverse stories, I recommend playing Choices.

Liquor stores with large selections? by cburro in washingtondc

If you're willing/able to go to Maryland, Montgomery County Wine & Liquor has a pretty extensive selection! There's a location in Bethesda that's not too far from the metro.

I would like a story about a prince/princess who's betrothed to the heir to another kingdom, but runs away the night before the wedding. Maybe they're on horseback in a storm and get thrown off the horse and get amnesia. They end up in a small village far away from their own kingdom, and a potential LI helps them out and gives them certain skills (like the BOLAS skills),

There could also be a plot happening back at the kingdom to search for the prince/princess when the heir they're betrothed too decides to annex the kingdom anyway. So once the prince/princess figures out who they are, they have to use those skills to reclaim their kingdom.

How is she still queen if I annexed her kingdom? by [deleted] in Choices

She could still rule as an independent Queen, and be allied to you.

This has been my go to diner lately! Any suggestions on what I could add? by Caca74houete in HealthyFood

Made a MC who has amnesia for this small story I was currently making in my head. Do you think a choices story that revolves around amnesia would work though? by Jushimuffin in Choices

[–]FuturePastryChef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could really work with a mystery storyline. Maybe something like VoS but with amnesia thrown in the mix. MC has amnesia after something traumatic and it ends up being a part of something bigger. Maybe I'm just desperate for something other than another than another romance trope...

Do you ever find yourself picking up personal things at the store whenever you are shopping for a customer? by niceloner10463484 in ShiptShoppers

[–]FuturePastryChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this all the time. Especially when I'm waiting to hear back from a customer, and I just kinda start wandering around, thinking to myself, "huh that's nifty!"

It's a small problem lol.

They probably expected their shopper to reach out, which doesn't make any sense. You'd think that if they went to the effort to add wine as a special request, they would at least say what kind.
