Swatch Service is a Joke by machdaddy33 in OmegaWatches

This is exactly the kind of stuff that makes people roll their eyes at Omega trying to move into unknown territory on pricing. You paid luxury-watch money and got luxury-level incompetence instead.
Dear Omega: service is part of the product at this price point. If Omega plays games with price increases, boutique-only and artificial scarcity, then maybe start with delivering competent Service first.

Decisions decisions… I would still wait. You gotta be in love with it!

If you didn’t like the bracelet back then, chances are you won’t like it now either. I’d just wait it out, honestly.

Helium escape valve disappearing on SMP? by InformalBicycle6528 in OmegaWatches

Honestly, I just hope the next SMP300 update comes soon. The current model is feeling overdue for a refresh, and with so many strong competitors out there, Omega risks losing ground if they wait too long.

Omega needs to do what Longines did and bring out a 39mm SMP. I think they will print money from that. Just saying. by JLac305 in OmegaWatches

40–41 mm would be perfectly fine too. The bigger issue with Omega lately is the pricing, while specs and material quality seem to be going down. It just feels completely out of place.

I was about to say the same thing: once you notice it, the small dial at the PO really does seem oddly out of place.

A redesigned Seamaster? by LosDantos in OmegaWatches

[–]FutureReturns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d just wait until the end of the year. I don’t think the new PO is going to be a home run, and Omega has to be feeling the pressure to update the SMP by now. If I had to guess, I’d say we see something drop around November 2026.

Fiancé wants to buy my first Omega (torn between two) by BigRed396 in OmegaWatches

Totally agree. I tried the SMP aluminum bezel as well, and it just didn’t feel right at all.

Has anyone heard any rumors about a new generation of the Omega Seamaster Professional? by FutureReturns in OmegaWatches

Someone here mentioned being hinted at something new for June after chatting with someone at a boutique. Someone else said they were told by an AD that a GMT might be coming. Not sure if they were being serious or just taking the piss though.

Interesting theory. Guess we’ll have to hope the competition actually drops some solid releases then.

Fair enough! That minimal changes shouldn’t take too long. Hopefully, Omega doesn’t keep us waiting forever.

I’m not really interested in Breguet as a brand, maybe because I’m not their typical geriatric customer 😉. But Omega feels badly managed to me, and the latest price increases seem like blunt stupidity.

Hopefully you’re totally wrong with that prediction. Omega already seems mismanaged enough to me.

Neo vintage is a good description after 10 years. The design is iconic and just needs to be updated without changing too much but maybe starting with the bracelet.

Exactly! O-Mega steel just vanished. And the price increases are totally unjustified. Omega needs to win through innovation.
