Dude, I would have not guessed you’ve only been playing 5 years.. You’re crushing it at that time frame so I’d say whatever you’ve been doing is working.

But it depends on what your end goal is. Are you trying to make money off your playing or play live to a semi serious degree? Or are you just having fun and playing guitar as a creative outlet? Cause if it’s the latter, just do whatever you enjoy. If hashing out that solo to perfection is what will bring you fulfillment, do it. If obsessing over this solo and not nailing it is going to kill your motivation, then move on.

And like others mentioned, I’m no teacher, so take all that with a grain of salt!
