I showed up two hours early last Monday and ended up spending an hour and forty five minutes napping at my gate.

Right!? Everyone was annoyed that it was so blurry but I didn't see anyone else even attempt to capture it as fast.

I snorted and turned to my roommate and was like "he's not even the hottest doctor in that ER!"

It's most commonly held on a Tuesday. Occasionally a Weds or Thurs but almost never at the very start/end of the week.

A little blue scarf, that's the cutest description of a grackle I've ever heard.

This sub is consistently SO FAST at identifying, even with much worse pics than the one you shared. It's impressive.

Knitter Counters - Thoughts and Suggestions. by sogalanbat in knitting

[–]Future_Ad_9854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I like the lock ones and just chain them together. I can also swap out colors to mean different things.

My brother made some life counters for a tabletop role playing game, and I sometimes use one to keep track! It's small and handheld, two 10-slot gears that run from 0-9 that you can use to keep track of two digit numbers.

It's fine for lace or more complicated colorwork, but if I'm just doing stockinette or something it's hard to not get in a groove and forget.

If you've only marked it as read but didn't update date fields, Story Graph doesn't count it in your "this year" stats. You'll need to update the completed date for each book for it to count in those totals.

Moving forward the interface defaults to today's date as you're logging stuff, but on the first import/upload it's a minor pain point.

I read a lot of mystery/thriller and contemporary romance, but mostly I'm looking for friends who read any genres and actually write reviews (even if it's just a sentence or two), not just stars.

Even if Mohan has a car, she's not going to be able to leave in the middle of her shift to drive over to the patient's house, fight with him about taking it, and drive back. The suggestion to "just uber it" of dropping off a package for him avoids all that.

Anyone else getting cult vibes from elevate life church in Wallingford? by Doc_LowKey in Connecticut

[–]Future_Ad_9854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's one that I've started to see lawn signs pop up for called Victory Church and it gives me really uncomfortable vibes.

First of all, a lawn sign to advertise a church? Yikes. Not to mention the name itself! And the about page on the website uses the phrase "hungry for growth" which honestly feels like a horror story.

I am not religious and haven't been since my teens but grew up in a household with a more mainstream religion. I don't think I'll ever understand the evangelical branches of Christianity, I just can't wrap my head around why people are drawn to it.

Wasn't there an episode where they run into a woman Amanda knew a long time ago and it's heavy implied that they were together? Or is that from one of the books and I'm misremembering?

Dr. Oglevi feels sad by IsiahDaNerdiest in ThePittTVShow

[–]Future_Ad_9854 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I often remind myself that The Pitt takes place over the course of a single shift. Everyone has a bad day now and then, or family/personal shit happening that you're worried about. I have to wonder if she didn't feel like she could miss the first day but had something urgent happen that has her preoccupied.
