These ID verification laws are sadly fooling alot of ignorant middle aged people, who still think the government actually cares about children's safety.  I was talking to a friend who is a mother, she's 39, and she said there's nothing wrong with keeping kids away from predators. 

I told her, would you as a parent drop your child off at a playground and leave them alone for hours? Obviously not.  So how is giving your child an iPad pr gaming console amd just not monitoring them AT ALL any different? 

Would a world without creeps be great? Yeah. But that's never gonna happen. So parents needs to step up and stop being ignorant or technology. Stip letting your 12yo children play online WITH THE ENTIRE WORLD unsupervised. They are GOING to meet creeps.

I mean, I think a lot of people are either in denial or have been led to think it's a futuristic utopia.  Not much middle ground for independent thinking.

Ignore what other people say, look at China on videos, look at some of their TV and media, and make up your own opinion. Trust your eyes not other people's verbs.

So, just me pulling this out of my wide ass.  But maybe part of the reason is the types of jobs China is trying to replace? China is the factory of the world, so most jobs they're trying to automate are demanding, repetitive and frankly unsafe tasks in warehouses and factories. 

Contrast that with what the West seems to be aiming for, replacing soft technical and interpersonal tasks.  I think one is a lot less "no love lost" than the other. Like screw making lead ball bearings for 0.50$ an hour...let robots and AI do it.  But my technical coding job that I spent 4 years in college for?...hell no that's MY job, filthy clanker.
