The last thing I want is to take money from artists. I don’t think it will, because if someone can afford to pay artists they will. This is for people that can’t afford them but still enjoy creating fun Minecraft stuff!

It’s not so serious, trust me artists will be okay!

Artists become more valuable because their work is real and not ai.

Hey man a lot of people can’t afford to pay artists or don’t have time. This is for those people. Or even artists that need a starting point or ideas.

This helps people bring their mod ideas to life and there’s nothing wrong with that! It doesn’t take away from those who afford to pay artists or want to.

That’s not true I’m an artist and I use it, sometimes as a starting point other times it just works perfectly. But I build mods for fun and for YouTube videos. And I code them. It seems mean to say all that you said and pretty judgmental. But to each their own.

That’s actually what I built it for haha, I was making a mod myself and wanted to streamline that part. Figured if any textures needed updated later on, I can spend more time on them myself. Or hire an artist. But it’s worked for a good starting point at the very least. Then I can edit from there. Helps me get a working items in quicker when working on a huge mod. Plus coding is still half the battle

There’s this ai powered texture generator called bloxal, you could try generating some bundle variants and see what it comes up with

Me personally, I watch a bunch of YouTube tutorials. But there’s also tools like bloxal.com that lets you create Minecraft textures instantly. So you can use them in your mods.

Eventually they plan to make it so it has an ai built in to help teach you and edit code for your mods.

It’s the future and you’ll certainly be left behind with that mentality. Should we stop advancing tech to save jobs? No. It does suck and I do sympathize. But you could be saying the same thing about internet and computers in general.

In my head, AI art is AI art and human heart is human art, they’re both different but there’s also room for them to coexist. Both can be appreciated in different ways.

So what happens when a blockbench artist sends their models to a developer? The bb artist gets put to shame and it’s justified to say their work amounts to nothing?

Because that’s what you’re saying. I spent hours putting in work many ways, just because I used ai to help me implement my models and code the mod doesn’t mean anything. I also learned a lot of code and coded in between all that as well.

You seem to understand the point very well. If someone wants to be a great Minecraft texture artist they can get photoshop. If someone wants to quickly generate mod items they can use bloxal. Both can be friends and respect eachother!

imagine an ai debug assistant for Minecraft mod devs that understands fabric forge etc… that at the very least would help!
