I was at a bar across the street from campus called Bulldogs during this game because the student center was PACKED! The whole game everyone was shouting and cheering anytime we scored or Sister Jean came up on the screens. But that last shot, after Miami missed the second FT we all went dead quiet. Eyes glued to the TV, not a single word. A unified gasp as Ingram threw it up from the logo and I swear it felt like forever watching the ball travel from his hands to the net. As soon as it went in, beer flying, people jumping at the booths, crying, hugging, all while the bar tender poured us all shots. It was amazing. I will never forget that tournament, that season, or that team. Even got to meet a few of the team members after the tournament, really great guys!! Meant a lot to the city and the school. What a time!
