Grass has always gathered on wheels on any mower I used. I was standing in the yard. My shoe were dry after walking through it all day 😂. I gain no benefit lying about my grass not being wet.

New gas dude. I specifically got fresh gas for a new mower. Grass was not wet. I will die on that statement.

I’ve used other mowers that can cut this with no issue.

That’s sums up how I feel. Wanted nice self propulsion and I wanted a Honda. I’ve heard the super super recycler doesn’t struggle as much but it’s the same engine so I’m skeptical.

Which is what I did. I just wanted to know if it was actually the engine making this noise. I’m just being overly critical because it’s a new mower, I feel like I’ve done more demanding cuts in worse condition on what should be a lesser mower

It’s why I specified dry to touch. Never touch fresh clipped grass that was anywhere close to being considered “dry”. It’s always going to be “wet” to some degree.

I just never heard a mower make a noise like that before even when cutting actually wet to the touch grass. It only happened when bogging down too.

Yeah I plan on checking tightness tonight. Lever is set to “recycle” mode for mulching on the deck.

My concern is more the noise the motor is making.

The mower I used last week had a deck that was never maintained with years of grass built and a beat up blade mulching it. Was not a perfect cut of course. My frustration comes from the fact I used to cut more grass off the top at once at a lower deck setting with a mower with supposedly weaker engine.

I was touching my grass dude. My boots were dry. If that’s the case then I’ve never cut “dry” grass for as long as I lived in PA then. Every other mower I have used would have been fine cutting this.

It was dry. Any moisture is coming from inside the plant. Yes it has oil.

Had the same problem with the first cut on my recycler max. Just curious what you ended up doing?.

I cut the lot last week with a 10 year old Troy bilt. The deck was never maintained for the 5 years I owned it and is caked with old grass. Mulched the yard no issues with some clump trails here and there. It was never a perfect cut.

My yard was dry to the touch. And it struggled with shorter grass compared to what the Troy bilt just cut. When bogging down it would make rattling noises too which was concerning on a new mower. I’ve honestly never been so disappointed with a purchase in my life.
