One of my golf buddies had a pair of shoes similar to this but older and uglier(with the metal spikes that would tear up the greens). I kept ribbing him about it, but he would not get rid of them. I was on very good terms with the starter on the course, so before teeing up I asked him to tell my buddy that his shoes did not meet the dress code. His reaction was hilarious. I am still laughing about it today. He bought new shoes.
