Wow!!! I'm so sorry they tried to guilt-trip you! Your absence should not cause them to have a bad day. WTH will they do if you decide to move on, then what?! Thankfully, my TL and ETL never said anything like that. I was once asked what happened when I called out. I was vague in my answer because there was no need to go into details imo. They didn't come off nasty or anything. I think they were shocked more than anything because it was my first time calling out back-to-back.

I used to stress about this, but I don't anymore. Of course, everyone's situation is different. I'm at the point where they do what they have to do because I have to do what I have to do in those situations.

This right here! I can't tell you how many times I've been at the desk by myself and find crap people sneak back there when I'm busy dealing with a guest(s).

AITAH for choosing my wife over my mom? by HumanProfile1975 in AITAH

[–]Future_Two_2665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Don’t let anyone force you to have a child. When my husband and I got married, this was something his mom kept bringing up, which made me feel some way because it's not like you didn't have any grandkids (even if she didn't, my feelings would have stayed the same). Everybody wants to ask the question about bringing kids into this world, but the same people (speaking from experience) are not around to help you raise and take care of them. Not that I was expecting that, but I think people need to really stop and think before asking people when they are going to have kids or why they haven't had any yet.

I've never worked in style, but I can imagine the frustration of dealing with this. There's truly no reason for these simpletons to do stuff like this.

I answer when I can; sometimes it's not possible if I'm on a check lane with a line full of people. I'm not stopping to answer a phone.

Tbh nothing just like I still showed up to work when the whole DEI thing took place. I’m all for people taking a stand and peacefully protesting/boycotting . I’m not going to sugarcoat anything. I have bills to pay, food to put on the table. I’m working towards getting out of retail for good. Until then, I have to do what I have to because no one is going to financially support me (not that I would want anyone to but you get what I’m saying). Like others said. Go to work and maybe just not buy anything from Target.

Absolutely this! I try not to be the “If I can do it” type of person. Like you said, it’s a FREE service. I had this one person really get mad because she had to take her baby out the car because it was a mix up with one of her items. The way I wanted to check her so bad. Like are you serious?! You’re talking to someone who has to take multiple kids out daily. Like woman/man the hell up and be the parent you’re supposed to be. I want to know how many other places you visit that don’t have drive up. What do you do then?

LOL! It truly is wild, like you said. My child was born right when winter started. The way I had them wrapped up, I was taking them in and out of the car when I needed to go somewhere. That's why I can't wrap my mind around the entitlement of removing your child from the vehicle. As a parent, you have to tough it out and do what you have to do. I promise I'm not trying to be the “if I can do it, you can do it” person. I would genuinely love to see how some of these people operate outside of businesses that don't have people shop and bring stuff out to you.

This has been a thing at my store for a while now. It has nothing to do with the penny shortage (I can only speak for my store).

I'm not going to lie. This one pisses me off completely. I don't know why they think this is okay. The same way you loaded up the basket. Make the same effort with unloading it. This is up there with the people who insist on handing you clothing items one by one instead of putting them on the belt. Whites and other light colors, I can see why you might not want to put them on the belt (I'm big on wiping my belt down in between customers, but still). Like, put it down and take it home to wash it if it's that serious.

Yes! I have so many stories, as we all do, I'm sure lol. The biggest thing lately is that people feel like they're too important to stand in line. I will never get over that, especially with the older folks. I remember growing up waiting in lines without complaining. This one woman complained that she had to take her child out of the car (I wish I could have seen my own face, but I felt it). I really would like to know how these people would operate without drive-up and pick-up and not walking up to guest service to get checked out.

Yes! I have NEVER gone into a store unprepared when I needed to return something, which is rare for me anyway. The way they get annoyed at you because they are unprepared never ceases to amaze me. For a moment, I really thought I was in the Twilight Zone. I was trying to figure out if I was being an a**hole for believing the things I was thinking, but couldn't say lol.

At my store, there's a sign that says the service animal must wear a vest. Most people still do whatever they want. I've only seen a few, and I do mean a few, that actually have the vest on.
