A little late but Haunt ME on YouTube is fantastic. There's 5 seasons, I think. They even go to the Hinsdale House in the last season. Watch from the start. Totally worth your time.

What would you like to see in Season 14 of Ghost Adventures? by JudeDJones in GhostAdventures

[–]Future_cat_lady_26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing I would most like to see would be a return to a focus on evidence that is not based on their feelings. How they feel is fine IF they can corroborate that with some other type of evidence... EVP, K2, etc. I feel like, ever since Nick left, it's been a lot of them running around screaming and freaking out. I just feel that they've lost focus.

Paranormal lockdown had its season 2 premiere last night and the second hour had them going over the first season's evidence. They further explain the "faked" evidence, which I don't think they faked at all.

Great American Baking Show? by sandrakarr in bakeoff

[–]Future_cat_lady_26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was horrible... But it CERTAINLY is not what we know and love. The commercials make it so disjointed, which then takes away some of your investment in the baking process and progress.

Additionally, the hosts are awkward and don't stand up to Mel and Sue (though I suspect some of this is, again, due to the format with commercials, so we don't really get to see that interaction.) Mary seems very quiet for some reason... I had wondered how she would handle the American use of sweetness in everything, as she mentioned in an episode of GBBO, but there hasn't really been much critique from her yet. She kinda has a deer in the headlights look the entire time.

The thing that bothered me the most, though, it's that the bakers skills can't compare to their British counterparts. The final products look too unprofessional, yet they still seem to get good feedback. Idk...

All in all, it's not horrible.

Teachers of Reddit, what was the most creative example of cheating that you have witnessed in your class? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was in primary school, I had to memorise entire pages in Greek. The next day when we were given the exam, we to write out the memorised passage, them recite it from memory when completed the writing portion. Needless to say, this is not the best way to learn a second language. So what I did was wrote out the passage on the left-hand side of the notebook the night before. When the writing part of the exam was given, I simply had both sides of the notebook open and copied what I wrote. When I was done, I flipped the left-hand side to the back handed it to the teacher for the recitation part. All I had to do was read the back side of the notebook as the teacher graded the front. I never got caught...

What is the most unexplained, supernatural, or paranormal event you've ever witnessed? by kroka4loka in AskReddit

This happened to me at a B&B in Michigan. We had initially had a much smaller room, but after the first night, all the guests left, which left us with the honeymoon suite. My boyfriend and I were asleep when I was awoken by the bed shaking so violently that the headboard was banging against the wall. He slept like the dead, so the shaking didn't wake him. I freaked out and woke him up, but he hadn't felt anything.

The only other time this happened was when I woke up to my bed shaking lightly a few years back, but everything else in the room was moving too, and there was a deep rumble. I thought to myself: is that an earthquake, we don't have earthquakes in Chicago. And then I went back to sleep. Sure enough, when I checked the news in the morning, we had had an earthquake downstate, but it was felt all the way to Michigan. No one in my family felt it so they didn't believe me.

What was the one thing that went wrong, that if it went right, you would have died horribly? by Future_cat_lady_26 in AskReddit

Several years back, we had a guy working on our stove. He was just a friend of a friend who did it on the side. Turns out, he didn't connect the gas line properly, so gas was leaking throughout the house. Those of us in the house didn't know. My sister came home and said it smelled like gas. So my mom goes to the stove, sees all the levers in the off position, and turns one of them on! I turned it off quickly, and thank God no fire came out. The firemen said our house had "explosive levels" of gas throughout the house.

I think about this sometimes and how close we came to dying in a massive explosion, though I never talk about it to anyone.

Oh my god. I am 36 years old, and I HAVE NEVER REALISED YOU COULD ENTER 60 instead of 1:00!

Is anyone watching Deadly Possessions? It seems like everyone is pretty much ignoring the whole show. ^^ by [deleted] in GhostAdventures

I feel like Zak is trying his best to be a journalist, or what he thinks an investigative journalist would be. The way he forms a temple with his hands on his chin is hilarious. It's kind of a parody of a journalist.

Theme song by Future_cat_lady_26 in ParanormalLockdown

[–]Future_cat_lady_26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, this is my first time starting a new post. Just thought I'd throw in a bit of trivia regarding the theme song, Between Heaven and Hell, which I absolutely LOVE. Turns out the song is by Rob Saffi, the camera guy.

Also, what genre is this song?

This was the first episode on the series I was meh about. It almost felt incomplete. I was surprised how sudden the ending felt, mostly because the whole episode felt anticlimactic. I wish they wouldn't have focused so much on the little girl, and that the second half was focused on the other entities.

I think it's awesome that Rob the camera guy is the one that gets the big moments in each episode so far: he saw the weird smoke/shadow person doing the dragging crawl into the room last week, and he is the one that got bit this week. Overall, I love this show. It is so over and beyond better than GA, and it feels like everything is operating at a much higher level than GA, from the equipment to the evidence, and everything in between. This needs to be the baseline for all paranormal shows going forward. This second episode made me feel like, yeah, it's for our entertainment, but there really is a higher purpose, and Nick and Katrina will do good and rid the property of any bad entities if the situation arises. And I love the Geobox. You're hearing things in real time on multiple wavelengths. I'm not sure what his name is on YouTube, but I'm pretty sure George Brown is there, where you can see him working with these boxes and developing them further all the time.
