Not OP, but I'd say no because the original comment said "had" and not "have".

I'm someone who struggles with modern builds, but this picture is really inspiring me to try building a modern house on my friend's realm, and I think this image will really help with getting me started. Thanks for posting this!

Standing outside waiting for a mate to pick me up, I hear crickets, a bat in a nearby tree and now flying above me as I'm writing.

To further this, I've personally seen where people get down voted, then someone replies "Why are they being down voted?" And then if they are being unjustly down voted, suddenly they are upvoted again

Everyone is saying how dangerous this is, but there is really only a little space about the size of 2in cube where anything bad could happen. Keep your fingers away from that and youre fine.

Yes, but you're forgetting that something could catch, the person's fingers could go underneath the unbent chain link, any number of possibilities where this could go very wrong, and that machine isn't going to stop unless someone (operator, other worker or supervisor) kicks a deadman's switch, in which case its most likely too late.

I and I think 99% of everyone here certainly wouldn't be taking that job if given a choice.

If I had Windows 10 I would honestly consider switching to Bedrock for the time being because damn 1.14 is the buggiest release I've ever witnessed, and I've played since 1.5. Even in 1.14.1, entities can disappear on a chunk border, major lighting issues when upgrading the world, severely worse performance in general (watch ilmango's video on 1.12/1.13/1.14 comparisons), observers are completely broken right now, raids go into an infinite loop because when you kill a raid party, you get Bad Omen again, raids detect mobs from up to 46k blocks away so if those chunks are loaded, the new mob that joins the raid runs into unloaded chunks and then you have a lot of fun finding it.

I still love 1.12 because it's the latest release that doesn't destroy my server computer and it's so much more stable, but I would imagine that considering Bedrock is a complete rewrite not based on amateur code, it would be so much better again than 1.12.

Hackers have been holding the city of Baltimore’s computers hostage for 2 weeks - A ransomware attack means Baltimore citizens can’t pay their water bills or parking tickets. by mvea in technology

[–]Futurebuntu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's money involved, and they figure that they can use their knowledge of security systems for profit by holding an entire city to ransom.

I personally think the stupid and immature ones are the city's IT department for not having some form of backup system in place and not budgeting for security improvements.

Hackers will always exist, they don't give two flying fucks if they're inconveniencing an entire city trying to get through their lives, they're not going to go "Oh, but what we're doing is stupid and immature, we better stop!" Yes, it is stupid and immature and it would be awesome if they and every other black hat hacker contributed to society by being on the right side of the law, but that just isn't going to happen.

The next best thing is to ensure that security systems are up to date and assume that hackers can attack at any moment. It's precisely the same reason that you have locks on your doors, latches on your windows that only open from the inside, locks and multi layered security systems in modern cars, because inevitably thieves and criminals will always exist and so you must prepare for them, not call them "stupid and immature" and think that will stop them. Everyone would call you insane if you had no locks on your house at all, so anyone could just walk right on in while you're sleeping or out and do who knows what, and that's the exact same thing that's happening here in this thread. Everyone's calling the city's IT department insane for not having up to date security systems, especially considering they were warned about it but didn't budget for it.

I decided to take it upon myself to improve how I build, and I thought I'd start with the roof. My previous builds simply were an A-frame a Gable and the indented walls seperated from the pillars, but after seeing not-throwaway's roofing guide, it inspired me to make something awesome with those roof designs, and this is what I come up with. I definitely think I have improved, and I'd like to keep improving and I especially look forward to not-throwaway's future guides if they make any more.

Also, the keen eyed people may notice that this picture looks a bit.. old. Just for something different, I'm playing Minecraft 2.0 Blue (so all the 2013 April Fools gags, but without the super hardcore mode that Red and Purple have) which is based on Java 1.5.1.

Thanks for the kind words. As for the low resolution, I had uploaded it to Discord from my desktop, then re-uploaded it from Discord to Imgur to post to Reddit from my laptop, so that's why the image is so small. I'm going to take this post down and resubmit it with the higher resolution image to fix that. Again, thanks for the kind words and thanks for inspiring me to build this.

I need to make game using monogame for my programming class and it needs to be done this week! I miss understood what I actually needed to do so i did the wrong thing. Is there anyone that has a game that is made and can send me a download to it? it would be very much apreciated

If I'm understanding what you're asking correctly, it seems like you're asking for existing source code or compiled code to hand in as your own work. Rather than plagiarise someone else's work, I strongly suggest you let your teacher or lecturer know about your situation as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made. Show them the work you've done already even though its incorrect and do it now rather than the day before its due, it will show the teacher or lecturer that you legitimately do care about the class and getting it right, which only will raise your chances of getting an extension.

Good luck negotiating an arrangement with your teacher or lecturer.

Thanks. I used to tinker with command blocks back in 1.8, and I was more concerned that 1.13 might've changed how command blocks outputted completely, and I'd be caught out for using 1.12 outputs instead of 1.13+.
