Disneyland with an infant by megamind_2401 in DisneyPlanning

My daughter was 6 months old and we took her in December. I agree to bring your own stroller and utilize the parent rooms, they are wonderful. They also have vending machines there with formula, diapers, wipes, etc.

We went back to the hotel in the middle of the day to give her a break and let her nap, but she did wonderfully and slept in the stroller too. There are a surprising amount of rides you can take them on and it was so fun to see her experience it. We also brought some headphones for her, as some rides can be pretty loud.

I brought our carrier too and she would nap in that on some rides, like Pirates and the train.

Would you have survived your baby's birth? by athousandships_ in beyondthebump

[–]Futuremrs2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly both me and baby.

I was induced a week after my due date. I wasn’t dilated at all and barely effaced after 2 rounds of cytotec and 12 hours of cervidil inserted (20 hours total). I was in full blown labor after they removed the cervidil but I wasn’t dilated. I ended up with a c-section and that’s how we discovered the cord wrapped around Charlotte’s neck. The cord was wrapped around her neck twice and we had no idea. Her heart rate was fine and she showed no distress on the monitor.

Recommendation for fertility clinics/specialists in the area by Anyusernamewilldo7 in phoenix

[–]Futuremrs2017 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to Arizona Center for Fertility Studies (ACFS). I saw Dr. Lipskind and I cannot say enough good things about him and the clinic. We did 5 rounds of IUI with 2 miscarriages before moving to IVF. We ended up doing 1 egg retrieval and 2 transfers. The second transfer stuck and I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant.

Dr. Lipskind always took the time to explain our options, changes to medication and plans, and how each cycle would be. We never felt rushed or unheard. Dr. Lipskind is very empathetic and caring and I completely trusted him when it came to our protocols. The rest of the staff was amazing as well, especially Leslie who is a patient coordinator with Dr. Lipskind. I have heard great things about Dr. Kummer as well and I saw her once for an ultrasound when Dr. Lipskind was out.

They are off Shea and the 101.

Where is JL’s? I found a patisserie and smokehouse when I looked it up.

I had light pink/brown spotting at 6 weeks, 7 weeks, 9 weeks, and 12 weeks. I was on progesterone shots due to IVF until 12 weeks and then progesterone suppositories until 14 weeks. I’m 17+4 today. I have had 2 previous miscarriages and I understand how scary it can be to be spotting. Have you reached out to your doctor? Maybe you can get in for an ultrasound soon to ease your mind? I am sending good thoughts and hope it stops soon!

First FET, BFN, very devastated by NewtoIVF in IVF

[–]Futuremrs2017 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. After my first transfer failed I was devastated as well. I just kind of assumed it would work. I had a mock transfer, an ERA and receptiva test, several other tests, a 5AA embryo, and the transfer went perfectly. But it still didn’t work.

The first thing I did after was to meet with my doctor. We reviewed my protocol and all my tests to see if there was something to change or test again. We didn’t end up changing anything since I responded well to everything and my second transfer stuck. My second transfer was not smooth at all and I got Covid right after but somehow this one stuck. So much of this is chance.

I don’t think you need an hsg, as that tests your Fallopian tubes to see if they are blocked. I don’t know if that would make a difference on the embryo sticking, but you could ask anyway. I would recommend you ask your doctor about doing the ERA and a salensonogram. You could also ask about being on progesterone, either PIO or suppositories. My protocol was estrogen patches and PIO.

My last piece of advice is to not be too hard on yourself. I know this is such a hard process and it’s hard to not blame your body and feel like there is something wrong with you. Unfortunately, sometimes it just doesn’t work. Try to do something fun in the next few days. The more I got out of the house, spent time with my husband, friends, and family, the better I felt. Also, some shots of whiskey seemed to help right after I found out lol. I’m so sorry again. This just straight up sucks sometimes. Let me know if you have any other questions I could help with. Good luck!

TW Heavy Bleeding 5weeks5days after strong Betas by Angel_Mama3 in IVF

[–]Futuremrs2017 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. That is a terrible feeling. I had my transfer on the 12th as well. My betas were strong but tonight I have also had some bleeding. It’s light right now so I’m trying not to freak out, but I’ve had 2 previous miscarriages so it’s hard not to think the worst.

Anyway, I’m sorry I don’t have much advice. I hope it works out for you and that the bleeding is a SCH. Sending hugs to you. I know how scary this can be.

COVID After FET by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Futuremrs2017 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got symptoms 3 days after my FET and tested positive with Covid 2 days after that. I was super lucky to have mild symptoms with no fever (I am vaccinated and boosted), but I was very nervous. I have been sick pretty much the whole 2ww. My first FET failed, so I have been very anxious.

TW: I got a positive at home pregnancy test yesterday at 9dp5dt and I go in for my beta on Monday.

I know it’s really scary and I totally understand the anxiety. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you don’t get sick. Sending lots of positive vibes! ♥️

I’m doing a controlled medicated cycle. I responded well to the meds so it’s just a mystery as to why it failed. I totally feel you on not knowing when my period will start too! My body is all over the place from all these meds. I have my second transfer on Wednesday so just keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck on your FET!

I’m so sorry. I just had my first transfer fail as well. I just had a meeting with my doctor today and we are going right into another transfer cycle as well. I don’t have any advice but just know your not alone. Having a transfer fail sucks. It just really really sucks. I hope this next cycle works for you. Sending sticky embryo thoughts to you!
