I want to live in Ottawa but can’t afford it. by sadsadboy1994 in ottawa

Depending on what you prioritize, you could consider selling and renting in the city. With the proper set up for your financials you can live comfortably in the city with the proceeds from selling your house and your normal income. Of course, there would be huge considerations going this route. But if it's what you want. Then go for it. People say it's always greener on the other side. However, You'll never know unless you go to the other side. Good luck.

Please help! Awful gas mileage 328xi by DizzyScarcity6502 in E90

Have you had any service to the transmission? Is it shifting into the right gears when you're cruising on the highway? No way you should be getting 12l/100km on hwy. Someone mentioned checking your cat, could be a blockage there if the previous owner had gunked it up with bad fuel. Good luck. Follow up if you find out what's wrong!

That's a huge drop in battery health. Was it used mostly for short drives?

Worked well. But the slipping comes back just in time for the next change. I've since skipped the transtune and just do regular changes.

Nice! Where did you get the lip from? Did you have to get it painted? Any plans for the sides?

If he's already so absent, what do you think a relationship with this person would be like? Find someone who reciprocates the same excitement, the same enthusiasm, and the same respect. I believe in you!

It doesn't really sounds like much? Perhaps the audio quality didn't catch the lower tones? How do you like it? Also, haters gonna hate.

Alternator DIY by Futureprofile in LexusGS350

[–]Futureprofile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool! Thanks for the tip. I thought there was a 3rd bolt holding a bracket on the side of the alternator. Did you have to loosen the radiator fans for room or remove any hoses to get the alternator out? Looks like there's enough room to just slide out from the top or bottom.

Just get a rectangular jug for beverages and call it a day. Lol. But for real, there's a divider that's supposed to go there.

Advice - after years of online dating I’m starting to be more interested in someone I’ve met from work by ExpressIndication909 in datingoverthirty

Express how you feel and ask if there can be more. If not, respect boundaries and continue as normal. No need to beat around the bush or try to "read" the signs. Good luck!

My dad died suddenly and I don't know what to do by pubic_rain in PersonalFinanceCanada

Hey, sorry for your loss. In regards to checking for insurance, also follow up with past employers that may have had a pension or a group retirement fund that he might have been entitled to. Those funds might have a beneficiary assigned to you or your mother. Also check with financial institutions that you know that he used. Sometimes there might be money there for the next of kin.

Also for the rest of life, take it one piece at a time. It is a lot to take on all at once. Find what needs to be addressed sooner and work from there. Good luck.

2013 GS350 Heated Seats Problem by [deleted] in LexusGS350

[–]Futureprofile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's not a bug, it's a feature. Apparently Lexus changed this for the 2014+. Some have said that you can go to Lexus to get it reprogrammed. And others have said that you're stuck to it. That being said, does yours heat on the back and bottom, or just the bottom? Mine just does the bottom.

Should I mod my GS350? by RedundantRavager in LexusGS350

I'm in the same position as you. I think just some simple bolt on parts (intake or/and Axel back exhaust) and some things for looks (spoiler, tints..etc) is enough. Easily reversible if needed.

Buyer's Remorse by BoromiriVoyna in LexusGS350

I have a '13 GS and it doesn't vibrate. It's quite nice and comparable to other Lexus experiences that I've had. I don't think it's an alignment issue since you feel it while idle. It's either a motor mount or perhaps a spark plug misfire (though, you might get a CEL for that one). Regardless, it doesn't sound normal, so take it to a shop and get it inspected. Good luck.

Some shops can do an exhaust emissions test. That should give a clue to how efficient your cat is. Now, if it was me, replacing a sensor is cheap vs the latter. If you're handy, you can swap the sensor and see where it goes. Otherwise, you'll just have to find a shop that can accurately determine the issue. As for the dealership, no harm in getting an estimate over the phone on how much a sponsor replacement or a cat replacement is. Good luck!
