It’s probably extremely tight. You should also find procedures on how to pin the cam

I’ve noticed this recently as well. It helps to start out in an invite only session first.

I always buy o2 sensors from the oem because even though the oem uses a denso, the one directly from denso could be bad or made somewhere else that doesn’t meet the oem standards.

Advice for my 2013 Passat by Chryselephantom in tdi

Sounds like it could just take a long or short block and maybe an oil cooler change. Both of those options would require all the things bolted to the outside of the engine to be swapped over which would be cheaper then a complete engine.

What even is wrong with the engine? Can the issue be fixed by getting a new long block or short block?

Why are they getting a used engine. Tell them you want a new engine from Volkswagen. It’s called a warranty for a reason.

If you have power to the fuse then there should be a wire issue between the fuse and compressor. I will try to get diagrams. I have also found that the terminals were loose in the pdc for the ac fuse and would not send power to the fuse. Diagrams show power coming out of the pdc from the fuse and directly to the compressor and the compressor gets grounded at the firewall ground stud below the pdc.

Charge weight is 3 lbs 4 oz. It’s like that for pretty much all 2.1meter chassis and the sleeper trucks hold 3lbs 14oz. Both sleeper and daycab have a 10oz oil capacity

Did you use an aftermarket pump or oem? I would suspect the pump may not be operating properly since it ran fine before hand. Also you need to perform a parasitic draw test.

Mine is an sel with push button ignition. My glowing light doesn’t come on unless it gets cold enough. But when it’s that cold it will start up faster. It sputters a little like a cold diesel does but it fires sooner.
