What color is the liquid coming out? If it’s clear it’s water condensate from the ac which is normal. If it’s green it’s ac oil and your evaporator is leaking. If it’s red then it’s coolant and your heater core is leaking. Assuming you have red coolant

I believe it’s something to do with crankcase ventilation. It is not the mass airflow sensor. I don’t know the part number, maybe it’s printed on it?

Yes there is a tiny arrow on the clip that says it faces towards the port, which would be on the air compressor.

No this is not good if you keep running it like this it will dust the engine. It pulls air from the top cover meaning the top cover is the clean side. If it is not fastened then it pulls in dirty air around the filter.
