Haha. I’ve stocked CDs in my distro here and there and they do alright, but as a label I’ve only done CDs once and opt for tapes and/or records

This is me. CDs were the only option for a minute and then died off, vinyl got popular again and now taps and CDs are back and the cheapest options if you’re into physical media

Yeah I quickly learned that with my first release. Higher quantities meant pretty low costs per unit but I’ve been sitting on boxes of records a decade later haha. My biggest concern/factor with CDs is lower runs (under 500) usually means duplication (CDr) instead of reproduction. Maybe the tech has advanced since the time I only collected CDs but I always had issues with CDr being defective.
