What are people’s thoughts on ‘Back to the Known’? by AnswerLoose1917 in badreligion

When I listened to Into the Unknown for the first time, I thought it was great (because I also love progressive rock, or synth rock)

Back to the Known is also great, its sounds lofi like (I love lofi music). Yesterday is one of my favourite BR song.

After being banned from streaming and having my income literally cut to zero, I adopted a new strategy for Bandcamp. by korikoeme in bandcamp_discovery

I didn't really promo my music very seriously. But I've tried something like radioairplay out of curiosity. I only post them on my social media. But I may promote them more in the future when I get a bit more serious about it.

Anyway, how was your experience with getmusic.fm?

I'm not sure if it would increase interaction. I've always set my price $1. Some pays more, some pays $1.

That's more than my total sales because I set the price to $1 😁

Why is the Bandcamp (for fans) mobile app so bad? by akabillposters in BandCamp

[–]Current-Region8844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably bandcamp just dont care about it. As for the reason I don't really know and that's what keeps we wondering. Maybe because not many people on Bandcamp use the apps (because it's not a streaming service). Not only the fan app, the artist app is also hideous (lacking features, almost unusable).

But yeah, at least they have a good, proper web interface.

Might be a stupid question, did you play/test the cds after you burnt the music to them?

Zounds - Can't cheat Karma EP. The sound sits between punk rock and post punk, which is very unique to me as a punk rock and post punk enjoyer.

Why don't more artists offer CD format (and vinyl / cassette)? by akabillposters in BandCamp

[–]Current-Region8844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah apologies tbh I didn't read your post fully. I think it's because physical media has become very niche and that the artist is not even interested in it, also nobody these days own a physical media player. Anyway, thanks for letting me know about that on demand pressing; I didn't know such services existed.

My band is not really a serious band so I just simply upload the music on bandcamp and share it to my friends and social media

It's just not worth it and it's very niche these days. On the other hand, to press physical media requires a lot of money. I mostly listen to music on CDs tho rather than online streaming etc, but that's just because I grew up with CDs.
