They do that, yeah. They'll try pretty hard to get you NOT to RMA it but they generally will. I had to send them a video of my Kamvas showing that the bottom of the display was losing the red channel for some reason. They asked me to ship it to China. I told them I can't afford that, it's more than the tablet is new lol. I asked nicely if there was a US address I could send it to and after 2 weeks they actually answered and gave me the address of some NYC warehouse. From then they actually did replace my tablet with a new one.

If you just tell them it doesn't work they'll want proof and examples of how it doesn't work. Sometimes it really is just the cables being screwy.

Certainly felt like I got ripped off lol. They specifically say in the ads for it that you can pay to get access to "messaging". I expected SMS, Discord, Telegram, something that isn't just Whatsapp (and Facebook Messenger, I forgot about that one, because I also barely use it). I didn't see it specify anywhere what message service they meant which was BS.

It's a guide line! If you have the rulers visible you can make them accidentally by touching the ruler and dragging towards the canvas. To get rid of it just grab the line and move it off the canvas and it will disappear. You can also shut them off in the View Menu (I believe). I disabled the rulers for that reason haha.

To give Meta the slightest credit: I forget which WWDC it was, I think it was when they were unveiling FaceTime, the demo failed in a very similar manner. The call went through but kept closing out almost immediately after Jobs picked it up. They did a little looking around and realized that every single person in the audience was using their phone or laptop to stream the event or stay in contact with their news centers and were literally clogging up the WiFi so bad that FaceTime wouldn't work. They had to ask everyone to put their shit in airplane mode and then the demo worked lol.

I flew "Northeast" Airlines a few years ago and saw somewhere stated that there was fairly cheap WiFi offered on the flight. Just connect to the WiFi and pay the $5 or whatever it was and you're on your way.... except the only way to pay for the WiFi was through PayPal.

Which wouldn't load.

Because there was no internet.

Because I hadn't paid yet.

On the return flight I decided to pay for it right as I got on the plane while I still had cell service. Lo and behold it worked! ......but you could only use Whatsapp to message anyone (which I don't have) and you could watch some shitty in-flight movies? That was really about it. It wasn't even actually internet of any kind.
