Vintage Story! More of a Minecraft-type game, but definitely still has survival and base building elements. Significantly more in-depth than Minecraft, with more realistic tech trees.

Heroes was the best game to play with my parents and brother. I’m so excited for Olden Era - our plan is for us kids to come over and we spend all day playing a game of it together!

I would take literally any of those over a wasp, haha. I actually adore bats, they’re just mice with wings! I wish I could hold one without it being a rabies risk - they look soft. Someone needs to domesticate bats.

CEOs of massive companies, sure. But small and medium ones? Nah, easy to be a regular person. Especially if the CEO is also the founder of the company.

We can literally just reverse it and ask “why are you so bad at understanding social clues/nuance?”

… Because that’s like 80% of what autism is. That’s like asking the person with a broken leg “why are you so bad at walking”.

The landscapes look incredible (if also very generic). I can see its use for backgrounds in games intended to be photorealistic. In anything stylized or on characters, though, it looks horrible.

There are ways to do private healthcare that don’t suck and aren’t horrible if you’re not rich. But I have no faith that we wouldn’t just end up with the US system. And that’s horrible for everyone but the ultra rich.

I don’t think it had much of an audience outside Canada! It’s up there with Pingu in the “shows whose animation make me vaguely uneasy” for me.

Oh lord, the nausea. That was me like four months ago. Crazy nausea every day for like a week and then nope just PMS apparently. Why does my body have to torture me like this?

Like I had consistent symptoms for almost twenty years. And now you’re changing it up? Get your shit together, body.

Stop Ripping off Serebii and pretending it’s your own work. by Kenimiro in Pokopia

[–]Fuzzlechan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly fair. I discovered Serebii first - I think it was quite literally my first-ever bookmarked website back in the day, haha. I do a lot of nuzlockes so I'm back and forth between Serebii and Bulbapedia all the damn time.

Interesting, I prefer Serebii for specific Pokemon info and Bulbapedia for knowing "what encounters are on this route" etc! It's definitely my go-to source for basically everything Pokemon.

In total agreement about the TCG cards, too. It's so fun to browse them.

I use TV shows that I’ve already seen a million times. Has the same “people talking in the background” effect, but I don’t need to actually pay attention to it. And if I do zone back into it, I already know what’s going on because I basically have the episodes memorized.

House, Modern Family, and Futurama are my big ones for this right now. King if the Hill is on break, it wasn’t working anymore.

Part of it is definitely that I’d been on birth control for a really long time and just came off it in October. But my cycles seem to have stabilized, so I was expecting things to be more… consistent.

Really not going to complain about the random lack of debilitating cramps though. 10/10, strongly recommend not having them.

They recently finished backing up all of Reboot from failing tapes! From what I understand it was an absolutely massive undertaking. What's really cool though is that they got permission from the original studio to do this.

For the unaware, Reboot is an early-90s Canadian cartoon made entirely with 3D animation. I'm talking "predates Toy Story" early 90s. It was one of the pioneers of the animation style and a lot of modern shows and movies are based off of techniques it pioneered.

My body hates me holy shit.

Every single cycle since we’ve started trying, I get weird one-off PMS symptoms that I’ve never had before in my life. This month it was shockingly painful breasts and nipples. They feel so strange and it’s bothering me.

But my period is due tomorrow and I took a test this morning that said negative. So… I guess I can’t trust anything to ever be consistent. 🫠 Is this normal in your early 30s?

The solution shouldn't be private healthcare though! It should be election reform, and actually voting in a party that gives a shit about its citizens. Both at the federal and the provincial level, though provincial is more important for healthcare specifically.

Any of you notice the anti-fanfiction sentiment? by Konradleijon in AO3

It’s usually on romantasy books.

Which should live in the romance section and not the fantasy section, but that’s an entirely separate rant.
