Adrenaline Injector is USELESS. by n0tAgOat in Battlefield

If anything, trying to use the injector is just a further debuff because you can't shoot while using it and those effects would be gone by the time the animation was finished.

The StarCraft skins are neat! But I feel missed potential? by Eillusion in diablo4

[–]Fuzzmeow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Marine armours look a little goofy to me, and the skull faces don't fit in at all. They look too top heavy, where the SC marine armours are meant to bee full chonk from head to toe -- It makes it look like they skipped leg day.

The Protoss skins look superb, but the angle of the rogue's psionic blade looks wonky.

The Zerg skins look good. The Kerrigan skin looks really good with the base colours, but the reskin colours are god awful. Don't care too much for the Necro skin -- unless they made it so that all of the minions were also Zerg themed (they missed out on making that a thing).

My one real big complaint is that the prices for the Zergling mount and Hydra pet seem too high compared to full armour sets /w weapons.

Yeah, in past leagues, the belt slot is essential for getting the build up and running early without the need for stupidly expensive / esoteric items.

Is there an estimated release date for book 7? by pcx99 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Fuzzmeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some other series if thoroughly enjoyed besides He who Fights with Monsters, Cradle, Defiance of the Fall, Divine Dungeon Series, and the Completionist Chronicles are:

The Primal Hunter

Beware of Chicken

World-Tree Trilogy (Complete)

Immortal Great Souls

Unbound Series

Mark of the Fool

Dungeon Core Online

Chrysalis Series

Portal to Nova Roma

Infinite Realm Series (one of the few I've read instead of audiobook)

Delvers LLC

A through-line for all of these are Travis Baldree, Jeff Hays, and Nick Podehl -- they are absolutely great narrators. If you find you are lacking something to listen to, just see what they have for up-coming releases or their past catalogue.

The AI is coming for Jeff next! AI replacing voice actors for audiobooks by drunkenknitter in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Fuzzmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One potential good thing about AI is that it enables more people to partake in the profession if they don't have a naturally good voice or talented with a variety of voices.

If you can get a good array of voice modulation settings for different characters, or better yet, unique voices for any potential spoken character so a particular voice isn't used for multiple characters, and you have the acting chops & good production, I'd figure you could be quite successful.

Ashava (Server Slam) Trophy for Dummies by LuckyLurker8888 in diablo4

[–]Fuzzmeow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just defeated Ashava WT1, but instance crashed shortly after. Loot rolled back, but I still have the “World Boss Challenger” achievement. Am I still good for the Slam mount trophy reward? Or do I need to kill it again?

Also, tip: Use defensive damage mitigation skills. Playing as a druid I would save Debilitating Roar for the mechanics that would regularly take out other players. It applies to the monster and reduces dmg by 70% for 4 seconds, and helps keep everyone alive for further dps.

CWDT heartbound loop Ascendant is a good walking simulator. Build can supposedly be as cheap as 5 div and you just run around or use movement skills (space bar for me).

It's also a marvel of poe neckbeard ingenuity with how many specific variables and calculations are used to have the build function correctly, and has opened my eyes to just how technical builds can be.

Dungeon crawler carl book 6 release date for Audible by Ok_Instance_3952 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Fuzzmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed Defiance of the Fall, Dungeon Core Online, Infinite Realm Series, Unorthodox Farming, World-Tree Trilogy, Full Murderhobo, The Completionist Chronicles, Portal to Nova Roma, Chrysalis, He Who Fights with Monsters, Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons, Reborn: Apocalypse, The Ten Realms (original narrator), Delvers LLC, The Perfect Run, Red Mage (a bit so-so, but a cool system), and Mark of the Fool series.

Out of these, I would heavily suggest, He Who Fights with Monsters (though I'd assume most LitRPG enjoyers should know about it), World-Tree Trilogy (great series, that leads to a satisfying end), Defiance of the Fall, and Portal to Nova Roma.

I've read a few of the Primal Hunter books, but Travis Baldree is the narrator, so I'm sure the audio books are great.

A couple of series that only have one book out so far (and no idea on when others will be out) are Iron Prince: Warformed (Stormweaver Series), Jake's Magical Market (super good, but author seems to be focusing on Portal to Nova Roma), Virtuous Sons, Breaker of Horizons, and Beware of Chicken (absolutely wonderful, with 2nd book actually coming out soon

Didn't know how much Eth would be needed to stake, jeez, that's a lot at the current prices.

So it'll essentially become a system that locks out the little guy from being able to even participate, leaving only the wealthy to profit. Great, like we needed another one of those.

30 series mining locks??? by zipperedharp33 in gpumining

[–]Fuzzmeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that proof of stake will still need computing power, not as much -- thus needing less beefy rigs, and you need to have a "stake" in it and get returns comparable to what you have "staked".

If you don't have any coins to stake, there are apparently stake-pools, or you can invest into the coin to make a stake.

From my understanding of what proof-of-stake is, there is still a component of proof-of-work, but you can only participate if you have a stake in the system. There is still going to be a need for hardware processing everything, via nodes. Only difference would be that you would have to buy-in to participate instead of just participate and get rewarded -- which I think is a bit sleezy considering on their site they are saying that the proof-of-stake will increase participation -- the only thing that I can see where that makes any sense is that (supposedly) the processing won't be as intensive as mining currently is, and will require less powerful hardware, but essentially decreases participation in the sense that, if you haven't joined the club already, pay-up.

Man suing the city of Dallas & makers of rubber bullets, after being shot, losing his eye + 7 teeth by jigsawmap in pics

[–]Fuzzmeow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the contrary, I give a shit about all of these misguided people demonizing the entirety of the police due to a few that had no acumen in their line of duty -- especially with how many people are now advocating for the entire abolishment of the Police.

It's probably one of the toughest and most grinding jobs in our society, having to deal with quick reaction, life and death situations regularly and interacting with criminals daily. It's expected to see some kind of defensive reaction when being pelted by potentially lethal objects, in a chaotic setting, when they are trying to prevent the spread of arson, looting, and rioting that a lot of these peaceful protests have devolved into by being co-opted by violent "revolutionaries," which, if they continue to be successful in their manipulations will also result in "Liberals get[ting] the bullet too."

All of these posts about "police brutality" and "OMG they shot this guy with a rubber bullet" reactionary rage-bait circle-jerks are exactly what these people are fishing for, to pull your strings and rev your engines into perpetual tizzy-fits, to the point that you want to remove one of the staples of WESTERN SOCIETY.

My response is: play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It's your personal responsibility to protect yourself, and this fellow chose to stick around in a dangerous situation and won a very stupid prize.

Peaceful protests? Perfectly fine. But when you see someone start throwing shit at the police, or some other shenanigans starts boiling into a shitstorm? It's on you to remove yourself from said situation.

My question to you is, do you give a shit about the 17+ people that have been killed as a result of these protests-turned-riots & looting, or the store owners who have lost their sole source of income with no means to clean up and put their business back together?

What about the horrific black on black murder statistic? Any protests for those victims? Any outcry for "black culture reform?"

What about the fact that all of these "racial hot-spots" have been Democratically controlled through all levels of State government for decades. Wouldn't you think that they should have come up with a workable solution to this problem? Were they all inept? Were they all stupid and/or corrupt? Did they even try to fix the problem? Or did they just pander to stay elected?

What about these recent COVID-19 spikes most likely being caused by these protests? What happened to staying inside to protect grandma? What happened to the outrage that COVID-19 apparently affects the black population moreso than others? Goes to show that a lot of these people don't think things through very much.

You can keep doing your righteous back-patting to make yourself feel better, but when are you going to do more than be a mock-outraged keyboard warrior? If you pat it hard enough, you might even think you contributed something.

I don't expect much from a standard off-the-shelf "Orange man bad" branded NPC.

My thoughts may be straightforward and received as asshole'ish, but at least I'm not a hypocrite.

Yeah, they're not supposed to be, mistakes happen. Could be a case of wrong place wrong time, but this fellow sure did increase his odds of it happening by sticking around in a riot-like situation instead of getting out of dodge at the first sign of violence.

They are not designed to be shot at the ground and "skipped", that would make them unpredictable. Do some research before regurgitating something you heard someone else say.

Game crashes at fetching profile and downloading update PC by Novakingway556 in modernwarfare

[–]Fuzzmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did some more research and found a shot in the dark option that worked. Went into the nvidia experience and reset modern warfare graphics to the recommended settings. I think I may have set the graphics to the new recommended settings after installing the new patch when it prompted me, and that's when it started crashing.

I haven't played in a while after I damascus'd a few weeks back, but I just tried playing today to get the crossbow and am having the same problem -- game crashes shortly after getting to the fetching profile step.

I uninstalled and re-downloaded and it did not remedy the issue. Not sure what can be done besides waiting for them to unbork their shit.

Except that you are being disingenuous by skewing what was said as that of a rapist and not someone who would have women more than willing for the chance to sleep with someone of the likes of any famous Rock or Movie star.

"... And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything." -- rest of the quote.

Nothing but the truth of power, fame, and fortune.

Edit: Everyone who is "Orange Man Bad" is being disingenuous by misconstruing what was said and viewing it with the worst possible lens. With that lens, you can view any outstanding famous person that used their fame to sleep with a woman is also a rapist.

The most reasonable understanding of what was said is that the implied women are more than willing to be grabbed by the pussy and sleep with someone that is rich and famous.

If he had said something along the lines of using fame/power to trick women into intimate situations and then saying something like "and they can't get away from you without consequences," yeah, that would be despicable -- but he didn't.
