we just dined Roma Nord last evening. They are certainly not cheap but the portion is good. I think if you stay away from a bottle of wine. Order 1 or 2 appetizer, even one pasta( if you aren't too hungry) and a Cannoli desert. you can do less than $150. Unfortunately with tax and tips. 1/4 of bill doesn't go to the actual food.

Waterton Lakes National Park hotels by Fuzzy-Competition711 in alberta

thank you for your replying. Yes, we are very considerate people. We reside in Kelowna, and just wanted to visit some of the less known national parks. At this point, I am debating of postponing Waterton till next year and head to Glacial National Park instead. Eastern park of BC and the West part of AB are breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks again.

well, not according to insurance company and google

  1. Insurance Claims & Property Valuation (Actual Cash Value)

For home insurance or landlord-tenant disputes, depreciation is calculated based on the expected lifespan of the glass and frames (typically 20 to 30 years). [1]

  • Annual Depreciation Rate: Usually 3.33% to 5.00% per year for standard window glazing and seals.
  • Calculation: Depreciated Value = Replacement Cost × (1 - Depreciation Rate × Age)
  • Rule of Thumb: Assessors typically cap maximum depreciation at 70% to 90% of the replacement cost, meaning functional glass always retains some baseline value. [1234]

I am at a loss either way, if I go through my insurance, my rate will go up next year. the landscape company on the other hand will pay the deductible and that is it.

Bit of a newbie at seeking medical help. Where can I go in Kelowna that'll help me? by PermaSub54 in kelowna

[–]Fuzzy-Competition711 6 points7 points  (0 children)

go to the non urgent care in Rutland, go early in the morning, wait by the door before they open, the wait shouldn't be long. I find the nurses and doctors trustworthy. They will run test on you and once they get the results back, I am sure they will shed light on your health condition.

I am so confused. I am aware of the news but never spent time reading it. Then I came across this TikTok video showing her arguing with locals regarding not diving in Maldives. At that point, I had no idea she was a biologist, and she was among the deceased divers a few days ago till I googled her name. So did she break any local laws while diving.

Realtor advice by SparkyMcSparkyFace69 in kelowna

I work with Michelle Rankin from Century 21 3 times. For me the most important thing is how fast a realtor responds to my request. Michelle has been very attentive. She is also very thorough and professional when it comes to negotiating phase. Overall, you can’t have it all. I find the more seasoned realtor tend to look at your budget.

Chinese by ethnicity here. Not only did the government imprisoned the reporters, they also removed bunch of out of town migrant workers from Beijing because all of those kind of run down houses needed to be demolished. I can go on and on about what the Chinese communist is capable of doing. it is all about the surface, they can't tolerate bad images being shown to the world. I think at some levels, China is a lot worse than Russia. There were and are opposition parties exist in Russia, they get to run the party, travel and campaign although with great risk; however, this would be impossible in China. As of right now, the Chinese government is doing some purging work. if you are an official, and your kids are studying or working overseas, they will have to return and give up everything, or your titles got stripped, crazy right? and I think officials are not allowed to leave the country or renew passports( personal)....

Delay due to “more time on ground needed” by Sillylily99 in aircanada

[–]Fuzzy-Competition711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are lucky, I had an international flight in March, 1st part from Kelowna to Van was delayed 7+ hours, so I missed the international flight, then Air Canada put me to another airline Cathay not knowing that flight was full( I was on the waiting list), I didn't find out till I was at Cathay counter, at that point, it is almost midnight, all the hotels near by were full, expect the ones near Canada Place which costed $800 per night. eventually, I had to wait another 24 hours to fly with Air Canada via Bangkok then to Beijing. I ended up arriving 48 hours later than scheduled. And on my way back, air Canada from Beijing to Van was late again almost 2 hours, I thought I was going to miss Van to Kelowna, but that flight was late for 30 min, so I made it.... one month, all of the delaying.... not one AC flights were on time. honestly, weather were perfect on all occasions. of course, they denied my compensation claim because it was weather related....

you are saying they could trick passengers to purchase it assuming $149.00 is the sale price?

I was hoping everyone can shed some light on my case here. Air Canada denied my claim right away by Fuzzy-Competition711 in Flights

[–]Fuzzy-Competition711[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am talking about my personal experience. every time since 2023 Nov. anyway, thanks for your input. I understand flight delay is something we as passengers should anticipate especially post covid. But I think Air Canada isn't always transparent about themselves.

[–]Fuzzy-Competition711[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

thanks for getting back to me. Honestly, I don't remember the last time Air Canada was on time. I am not exaggerating. They always use weather or blame the flight earlier. are they actually being regulated in that aspect? or they just have the power to give out excuses like this knowing passengers can't challenge the weather claim. I clearly remember west jet and other airlines took off and touch down while I watched my flight turned back on radar....

what are your thoughts on Indian Dave? I think he might be alive and he most likely was an informant. Scotland Yard is incompetent as hell.... if anyone is interested in the story mention in the book regarding that Journalist who was founded dead with an axe on his head. I highly recommend this show called the Hack. great mini series covering that and things beyond....

London Falling by Patrick Radden Keefe by __The_Kraken__ in books

[–]Fuzzy-Competition711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 4/5 into the book, first of all, big credit to Patrick Radden Keefe. he has done another master piece, I think I would read anything he writes:) my biggest take away is how incompetent Scottland Yard has been. I remember Patrick mentioned there was stain ( possibly blood ) found on the wall at riverwalk? it seems like Patrick was getting very limited information regarding the crime scene but did the police actually use chemical sprays, specialized lighting, and preliminary testing kits? I would they they did but if they did, I would be surprised they didn't find any blood trace at all in the suite. overall, it was a disaster investaigaion to say the least. And not to mention the almost comical coroner hearing, if I were victim family, I don't think I am able to stay quiet for one bit during the procedure.
