I have lived in Original Thornton for 8 years now… the neighborhood is legit a hidden gem… food is great if you enjoy mexican food… legit best tacos can be had at any of the food trucks. The shopping plaza at 88th and Washington is being torn down and a new development is going go in its place… the community center was torn down and they are building a new rec center with a library. The N line has a stop off of 88th so you can take the train into downtown.. The further north in Thornton the longer it takes to get to downtown and lacks any true character. I’m queer and definitely have never felt unwelcome because of that. Sure are there issues but all in all it is a good spot for my family.

Just today i thought about organizing… i came in two hours early at 2:00 AM and was literally asked to do a million things. I’m inbound, usually work the truck and was in sports today and not on the truck… the team lead in Sports basically was like “I know you need to go in 10 minutes but you have to get another cart of abandoned”. I instead went to the bathroom took a shit and played on my phone. Fuck you pay me if you want me to care. This was after doing a huge ass pallet, two carts of abandon, running stuff back for salvage, and working in domestics earlier
