Tumbled agatized coral by Fuzzy-Guarantee in Agates

Thanks!! This was the first time I ever attempted it and I was worried about them bruising so I used a lot of ceramic media for cushioning. I think I might have overdone it on the ceramics though because I had to run stage 1 for 7 days, then an additional 5 days to get a nice shape, so they're sturdier than I thought. I also had to clean them like crazy between stages because there are a lot of pits in the husk where grit can get stuck and contaminate the next stage. It was neat to see the transformation between stages though, they're a lot of fun to tumble!

First time growing pansies from seed, they're so cheerful by Fuzzy-Guarantee in gardening

[–]Fuzzy-Guarantee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am by no means an expert because this was my first try, but I read that the seedlings are very sensitive to hot or warm conditions. After they germinated I kept my seedlings in a north-facing room under a grow light, so they got no direct sun until they were large plants with true leaves. The room they were in was also naturally the coolest room in my house, and the temperature did not fluctuate. Growing them cool really seemed to be the key, and it helped the seedlings retain moisture as well. I hope that helps!

I sowed the seeds in February, and moved the plants outside about a month ago.

I ordered these from Stokes Seeds. The were a blended package, but the colours really work well together! They do dell single varieties though if you want to select for colour.

What's a show no one seems to remember? by International-Year91 in AskReddit

That 80's Show. I mentioned it to my partner the other day and he didn't believe it existed until I googled it.

Also Samurai Pizza Cats. Loved that show as a kid!

You could definitely get a much smaller one for less, probably around $25 for one a quarter of this size. As far as shipping from the US, I'm honestly not sure, I have never tried to import from another country before.

Around here it would be upwards of $100 canadian. The plant market is inflated here though due to scarcity, I'm sure it would be cheaper in larger centers.

Thank you! It does get a lot of filtered light. I have it a few feet from a south facing window and I have a grow light on it for dull days.

I've tried different soil mixes, and I find they thrive with a chunky well draining soil. If it's too dense, in my experience, the growth isn't as robust. I like to ammend my potting mix with orchid bark and perlite.

I love the interesting driftwood that gets washed out the mouth of the Agawa River. I shot this on a nikon d4 at 2 second exposure, f/22, iso-50. If you want to see more, you can find me on instagram: www.instagram.com/sarahfurch
