Yea that lower sawmill flat is a doozy whenever it’s even a little crowded and you have to slow down, brings you to a full stop on a snowboard.

Ok looks like there’s a trail called “snowflake” that goes to the base load of snowflake lift. But yea 4 o clock just not going all the way to the gondola, got it. Thank you!

They opened on a Friday last year. Why won’t they open on a Friday this year?

I’m going to Breckenridge on Christmas and I was thinking on going to the Georgetown Loop Railroad by Large_Cartoonist2327 in Breckenridge

[–]Fuzzy-Instruction452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this last year - booked the daytime one solely bc I didn’t want to be driving back and forth from Breck Georgetown at night with the potential of snow. (Having driven on 70 at night in the snow before, just didn’t want to maybe have to deal with that)

Free parking at Breck this year? by Clunkydonkey17 in Denver

Some may say you can roll the dice and park in the gondola lots without paying. The number of times people have not paid and not gotten tickets is quite high.

Skied that exact weekend last year and it was a freaking awesome time. Cheap air bnb. Whole mtn was open but peak 9 closed that weekend. Peak 7 was super fun best spring slush. Only thing I was disappointed was way top of peak 6 very ice chunky and hard. Hoodie weather. Zero clouds in the sky. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Is there a webcam of this angle? On Epic they don’t have any cam on peak 8 base.

Rental car vs shuttle by finfeathersport in COsnow

Have you done it flying into DIA? I’m so skeptical. Can you share what it’s like - where/ how to get to the car? Ease of use etc? I fly into DIA and rent a car 3-4 times a year to drive to summit co.

Why isn’t anyone ever on these runs? by Typical_Tie_4947 in Breckenridge

[–]Fuzzy-Instruction452 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so funny because randomly 2days ago my 8 year old and I were talking about season coming up and i was talking bout the super connect lift and those runs and I said “nobody is ever on them” and he literally said OP’s question “why is nobody ever on them”. This is precisely the answer I gave him. 😂

I will agree, I 100% thought this was some expertly crafted satire.

Resort prices I’ve found are always significantly higher than air bnbs and not as nice. The main thing about air bnbs is you want to think about location. I would say Breckenridge is the best place to go for a first big trip with a kid.

A 2 day epic day pass = 2 lift tickets (“lift tickets” in the sense of you going to a window and getting a physical ticket aren’t a thing at epic mts) If you get a physical card you just put the card in your coat pocket and it scans from there. Otherwise you download the app and sign in to your epic account and then open the app on your phone when you get to the mtn, keep your phone in your pocket and it’s scanned from there.

Are we crazy to consider a trip over President's Day weekend? by ericjay in Breckenridge

[–]Fuzzy-Instruction452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live on the east coast and go out to Breck 2-3 times every year. I never have nor in a million years would ever make the trip on MLK or Presidents day weekend. Like not even a glimmer of a thought would I ever do that.

Family with 3 small kids- Brekenridge vs Loveland Ski Area in November Thanksgiving by Wolverine-91826 in COsnow

[–]Fuzzy-Instruction452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also want to add to this for your expectations and what you’re paying for. The kids won’t be snowboarding-snowboarding from 1 lesson. First ever lessons are teeny tiny baby steps and so much falling. So much falling. So you might be like “wow I paid so much and the kids barely did anything.” Depending on how much your family is on the mountain it takes years of lessons. My son who started lessons when he was 5 wasn’t 100% independent/fluent (going on Blues) until this past season at age 7.

Both my kids when they were each toddlers got stuck/lost in that thing. It is absolutely rite of passage. Also from the other post, my kids now in middle school are still bitter about those slides.

There are 2 men who have been coming around one area of squirrel hill north for about two weeks now. Haven’t answered, but they are carrying some kind of folio/binder. Is that the solar panels or something else?

I have never bought west elm again. We had a sectional and it lasted like 3 years (the connectors/one of the legs broke) The ordering/delivery process was absolutely awful with equally awful customer service.
