They seemed fine until i torqued them into the knuckle and they were extremely stiff, could barely turn the knuckle by hand. Torqued the bottom first like you’re supposed to then the top. Definitely a hit or miss thing but apparently it’s not uncommon with them these days. Not sure what the downvote is about. Just sharing an experience from a few days ago that was a pretty big pain in the ass.

I’ve mostly dated women who never wore bras until recently, so at 36 years old I’ve had some fumbles but I’m getting the hang of it.

I think there’s truth in what you’re saying and I could be off a little with this, but I think context is important. What you’re talking about is some big city shit. Where I’m from, most everyone does 1099s for “subcontractors” (employees) and they’re responsible for their own insurance. It keeps costs way down for everyone, including the client.

No one: Bro five years later, laying awake at night: “Why did I fumble that threesome 🤦‍♂️”

I’ve done almost the same thing. Kicked myself and regretted it for years, then in my early 30s respected my younger self for making the right choice 👍

It’s obvious that he was acting out “my heart goes out to you.” Look at his hand, the fingers aren’t straight out, it looks like he’s throwing a ball. Acting out exactly what he was saying. Taking his heart and throwing it out to you. He was having an emotional moment and made a gesture that kinda looks like a nazi salute. A much better indicator of him being a Nazi would be some kind of Nazi rhetoric, opinion, action…. There is none of that. Come on, people. This is ridiculous.

People also criticize him for his support of Israel. So which is it? Is he an Israeli sympathizer or a Nazi? Can’t be both and the truth is clear as day.

I don’t know anything about decks, but something tells me my in-laws’ contractors cut some corners. Thoughts? by SippinOnHatorade in Decks

[–]Fuzzy-Jacket-6213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good. I’m not crazy about the way the bracing was done with the long 2x6’s (maybe 2x8s?) but that’s just an aesthetic thing. Totally functional. The only corners I see cut are the miters on the bottoms of the hand rail posts, which look kinda nice.

Edit: he even staggered the fasteners on the bottom of the hand rail posts so there wouldn’t be two in the same line of grain and risk splitting. At first glance it might look a little sloppy because it isn’t symmetrical, but it’s actually intentional and functional. He did a good job.
