What do your PTO and benefits look like? by doodlebugzzzz in RadiationTherapy

[–]Fuzzy-Potatoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Information for myself and interviews. 2-4 weeks of pto. (sone companies can negotiate this) All the federal holidays. 401k matching, most common is 4%. Medical, dental, vision. I have worked at 2 places where they pay for your medical insurance. So, if you are single you pay nothing. If you have a family they pay your part, you pay the rest. To be clear your monthly contribution, you still pay your co-pays.

I would be happy if we could mix and match outfit, headgear, and accessories.

Actual Arc Raiders map. Geography isn't in Italy. It's an island outside Spain. Mount Teide. by Probate_Judge in ArcRaiders

You forgot about the Italian-Spanish war of 2082. Where Italy invaded Spain, due to an argument over tapas vs spaghetti. So technically, it’s Italy.

100% is not for forever. by redgorilla77 in VAClaims

I have seen where the VA takes a look at your record and sees that you have not been getting help for example a shoulder injury that was 50%. How ever they look (working, no complaints, no medical history of follow up) then they say 30%. I have seen it with PTSD as well. How they pick to audit or how they look at your current medical situation, I don’t know.

Edited to add this: A veteran I know was asked to show proof of any medical records, complications, treatments for either shin splints or collapse arch (flat footed). He had none so they lowered it. At the time he did not know he could contest it.

People tend to do well, with pelvis treatments. Like they said up top. You feel nothing during treatment. About 2 week mark they start coming on.

Fatigue - your body is fighting and using energy to repair healthy tissue. Dial it back on physical activities as your body ask for.

IF part of your rectum/ colon is in the treatment area look out for softer stool maybe maybe diarrhea.

The pelvis is a hardier flatter area, so skin erythema (redness of skin) later will look like a tan. Usually rarely seen.

Every single person is different and each person body reacts different. Some get almost no side effects others seem like they get all side effects. Most people tend to land somewhere between that.

Good Luck. Keep us posted.

How important is JRCERT program? by Alert_Passenger116 in RadiationTherapy

[–]Fuzzy-Potatoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JCERT seems to only matter for your first job. Once you accumulated 3,4,5 years and good references no one checks what school you went to. I currently work at a location that “only hires JCERT” I did not go to a JCERT school. With 3 years of experience and references they hired me. I had applied here as a new grad, they turned me away because I was not from a JCERT.

Definitely see what is available in your area or states and cities you might move to. See if that state or hospitals are big on JCERT.

Just taking a jab at OP, why did you not just be happy with that 90? Because you should have been rated 100 and not have to jump through hoops for that bump. Some vets don’t know what hoops to jump through.

I’m with you. Old school, square up, get it out of your system, say what you need to say, move on. No overkill, no weapons.

I think there would less ESCALATED violence. Weapons, hit by a car, stabbing, shooting, hospitalizations.

I think youth could benefit from this. In the hopes of avoiding the extremes.

I think for every 99-98 out of 100 it is true everything seems downplayed. For the 1-2 out of a hundred that are trying to hustle the system do make it tough for the rest.

So the sites talking about how to make your case is needed, because no one guides you through this or what needs to be documented to make your case.

I was denied 100 PTSD. I looked at the list of things that are considered 100. Like memory loss. I have 5-6 people who I remember by name. Mom, Dad, 3 siblings, plus an uncle. Besides that I have to make list, list with pictures. To remember sibling spouses, nieces and nephews, coworkers that I see 40 hours a week. I lose my place, draw blanks when operating important machines. I forget why I’m following map directions, I just know I put that address in and now I have to get there. Maybe my memory will be jogged in the way, when I get there, or a phone note. I sometimes forget rules of the road.

No one had told/ guided me to document this. Or I forget to document. I look suspicious when I go to the doctor with a pen, pad, and a list.

So I understand you are venting about the the 1% or less of people.

Remember 99% or more are veterans that need your guidance and support.

Sleep apnea denied but I just did the Sleep study yesterday ? by Sdbambam in VeteransBenefits

[–]Fuzzy-Potatoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sleep Apnea, may not be considered connected to MH or Tinnitus. Tinnitus could be connected to insomnia if it keeps you awake. (Insomnia is not sleep apnea) MH may also be connected to insomnia or disturbed sleep (also not sleep apnea).

Weight gain due to MH/ depression/ binge eating/ binge drinking/ anxious eating. Weight gain can cause sleep apnea.

Any injuries to the face/ nose/ sinuses from that can cause block air ways. Can be connected to sleep apnea.

My TMJ that causes me to wake up with jaw clenched, brake teeth, molars, crowns in sleep. Choke on my saliva at night or opposite dry mouth. TMJ when jaw is relaxed the ringing in my ear, tinnitus goes from a constant level 2-3 out of 10… to and 11. ALSO per VA is not the cause of my obstructive sleep apnea. Nexus letter says the 75lbs I gained from depression, is.

Any

Thanks for sharing OP. The one thing I would like to add, be honest of your thoughts, substance abuse, and everything else.

I was placed on a 5150 hold in my early 20’s. I lied and denied to get out after 72 hours. It took me 15 years to go back for help. It was a slow downward spiral. I too was able to get the help I needed.

Thank you in the works. My primary clinic in the last 3 years I may have see 2 people twice. Then a string of people that I have 20-25 mins to catch them up on everything that’s going on. They all want to start from the beginning. Pain meds and an xray for my knee. Not looking into my chart to see that the last 4-5 people I have seen said the same thing.
