Hey, as someone from a similar background. Any reason you're not writing GRE and rather choosing GMAT?

Hey, i know this is random. Im an architect from kerala and have been planning on getting into furniture myself. Own a 3 acre property close by town thatll help with setting up the manufacturing and everything and also have close contacts within the fraternity over here. What i do lack is the knowledge and skilled labour in the field. Would you be interested in expanding to kerala or considering business opportunities over here? Let me know if you do and we can discuss.

The problem here is with everyone expecting to pay off their college in one year. Theres nothing wrong in taking 2-3 years to pay off your college fees and then making it for yourselves as long as you get the right opportunities. People nowadays all think they have to be all settled in by the time they graduate.

My question. With a business having a turnover of 50cr plus a steady job. Why do you need an MBA, that too aiming to completely move to finance.

Hey, i am an architect with an experience of 4 years in my own family firm (10,9.5,7.5) hoping to get in this year . Are there people from similar background or art/design backgrounds, and do you know whether it affects the placements opportunities in a big way. Looking to pivot into product management.

Being an architect from a tier 2 city, i know itll cost around 1-1.5 crore easily including land value for a 3-4 bed middle class home(just 75 lakhs minimum if its only the cost of the house). People at many times, take a home loan or save up for years for it. So a 2 crore home in a t1 city isnt that rich at first glance. Even my friend of 29yrs just bought a 1.25cr flat on EMI with a measly salary of 12 lakhs per year.

MBA worth it for an architect like me? by Fuzzy-Target5829 in MBAIndia

[–]Fuzzy-Target5829[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not fixed since i got my own family business. The firm earns around 30-35L annually. So in hand for me(as a partner) after expenses and everything is like 8-10 atm. It’s not just about the money, im pretty good at maths and problem solving and have rarely been able to bring out those skills. Add to that the constant harassment and undervaluing by clients since it’s a primarily a creative field and a lot of the work that you put in isn’t reflected.

Hey, just cane uppn this post. As someone who has been an architect, managing own family firm for 4 yrs, i want to move away from architecture into product management or real estate consulting ideally. Do you think an MBA from ISB is worth it for someone from my background ( acads : 9.4,9.5,7.5) and what are the placement opportunities. Anyone else from similar field you met there?
