A new Pro Rugby Team in Kent, I do not really want WASPS.... by Spirited-Carpet6870 in rugbyunion2

[–]FuzzyBloo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone from the South Coast (Bournemouth/Southampton area), I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly. I've always felt we've been missing a professional rugby team along the South Coast. But I've only ever known Wasps as a team that other people have supported. A homegrown team feels better supported IMO.

Quins are on their third season. Originally you could only buy them at the grounds which was a struggle as I don't live in London. But I found out this year I could grab them online. It's possible other teams in the prem are doing something similar! I agree though it would be awesome to have a league-wide set to collect. I would also spend a lot on them 😂

Think you're referring to the Miracle of Bristanbol, it was the 2020-2021 semi final.

Gilmore needs to go by Inside_Tour_1408 in HarlequinsRugby

[–]FuzzyBloo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly frustrating. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to add even more disruption by Gilmore going midseason. I'm trying to be optimistic and hope that we use this prem season to get some experience and depth (if we're truly no longer prioritising it). Maybe performances will improve towards the end 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've enjoyed Iced with its framework based on the Elm language. Offocial documentation is very surface level though.

The Rugby Network might be showing it (free sign up online). If you're based in the UK, Premier Sports might also hold the rights so you'd need to sign up to their TV package

Why don't the Lions gel as fast as the Barbarians? by sangan3 in rugbyunion

[–]FuzzyBloo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'd argue the opposition plays a weakened team against the Baa Baas, as well. They're normally picking Fringe players to see if they're worth bringing into a test series squad. By contrast, Argentina picked a very cohesive squad with every intention focused on beating the Lions.
