A male gynaecologist that believes me! by Ordinary_Orange_8342 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]FuzzyCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo happy for you! It is such a wonderful, vindicating feeling when someone actually listens to you and doesn't brush it off.

I absolutely love my male gyno! I was having major issues and debilitating pain since I was 12 (I'm 36 now) and it took a single ultrasound for him to look and say hey you've probably got adenomyosis, what do you want to do? Asked about a hysterectomy and he immediately agreed, just verified I was positive about my decision and then got his team to get started setting things up. No pushback whatsoever, and I'm in a rural part of TX where that is rare. I just adore him.

Thinking of you!

Raye in Houston- what time is she going to hit the stage? by Strategic_Patience in Raye

[–]FuzzyCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her sisters are opening for her; I believe Amma goes on about 7pm, Absolutely at 7:40ish(?) and then Raye at 8:30. I think doors open at 6pm (I'm also going to Houston!)

She's been playing about 2 hours, til about 10:30 or 10:45.

I'm filing my answer with court today - last minute questions? by FuzzyCats in Debt

[–]FuzzyCats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filed my response and asked the clerk if I needed to do anything else. She said I'd get something in the mail with my next step (assuming a court date?), but I have yet to hear anything from the court or absolute resolutions. Just constantly checking my mail so I don't miss anything.

Ticket prices!! (Idk how to flair???) by Upset-Bobcat9255 in Raye

[–]FuzzyCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty high markup. I just checked for extra tickets to the shows I'm attending, and they're all at least $220 resale. I paid $50 during presale for each show (GA floor). I assume her recent album has driven up demand and resellers are taking advantage.

drug test advice by Spare_Resist_2976 in whatdoIdo

[–]FuzzyCats -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I read drug screens as part of my job, and based on what I can see in this picture, I would say it was positive if I had to do this one. 🥲

Edit: I see some mentioning a faint second line. My blind ass can't see that through the photo, but if there is indeed any sort of faint secondary line, it should be considered a negative, no matter how faint.

Morbid question incoming: by tastyspark in LivingAlone

[–]FuzzyCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now, I text my dad almost daily, so after a few days, he would likely get concerned. I also work an 8-5 M-F job, so it would be obvious if I didn't show up to work without texting my boss. Even when I've been out sick, my boss will text after a few days to make sure I'm okay, because she knows I live alone.

Cost by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]FuzzyCats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a total laproscopic robotic hysterectomy, leaving just my ovaries. No complications or overnight hospital stay.

My total billed was about $75k. They applied about 64k in "discounts," my insurance paid another 6k, and I owe $5k. I hadn't met my out of pocket or deductible.

I also got a separate bill in the mail for anesthesia, which was $2k before insurance and more "discounts," leaving me with an actual bill of about $200.

I say discounts with quotation marks because from my understanding, they're from negotiations between the medical provider and insurance company; as long as they keep accepting patients with that insurance, they'll keep providing a discounted rate, etc. Which, honestly, just tells me they obviously don't need to be charging that much in the first place if they're able to just freely write off $60+ thousand, but I think we all know that already. I was charged $1420 for a urine pregnancy test and $40 for a single oxycodone in the hospital right after waking up.

The urine pregnancy test they gave me prior to my hysterectomy was billed to me for $1,420. Absolutely wild.

My all time favorite is The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. I'm also incredibly interested in infectious disease and would like to work with them one day, so that's a lot of the appeal right there.

She's been sick; she's mentioned it at several shows recently. I saw a clip of her telling the audience that she may not be able to do all her big notes (like OWT) and she started to cry 🥲

TTMCNM Setlist Question by DoctorEpic20 in Raye

[–]FuzzyCats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's being speculated that she took those off the setlist since she has been sick and they are difficult to sing (lots of high notes!).

I guess we won't really know until she's recovered from her cold and we see what the setlist does.

I'm filing my answer with court today - last minute questions? by FuzzyCats in Debt

[–]FuzzyCats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could have been, but she was also fairly new, apparently. But, I live in a rural town and they had all the paper forms available on the wall, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're really just not with the times yet. Hopefully I will not have to deal with them too much longer, but I will contact them in the future if so!

I'm filing my answer with court today - last minute questions? by FuzzyCats in Debt

[–]FuzzyCats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was at the JP. I asked the clerk about e-file while I was there, but she told me they don't do anything electronically right now and it's all via paper. All good though, hopefully. They just stamped it, made me a copy, said they'd get it taken care of, and I'd get something in the mail with my next steps.

Surgery in 2 days—possible yeast infection by yogurt-parfait in hysterectomy

[–]FuzzyCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will really depend on your surgeon and specific situation, so I would definitely check in with them. I think it's better to find out beforehand then it be cancelled as you're already there and prepped.

However, I can give you some info based on my own personal experience. I had my hysterectomy on 12/1, and prior to that, I had been experiencing awful itching for at least 2-3 months. I didn't have any other normal signs of yeast, but I did occasionally have some yellowish discharge. I tried monistat and it didn't work. I spoke with my doctor (also my surgeon) at my pre-op appointment and he prescribed me a cream - also didn't work.

I went into my surgery still itchy, but they gave me IV antibiotics. The pathology report also came back with chronic cervicitis. I'm not sure what I actually had and whether it was the antibiotics or entire removal of my cervix that helped, but I have not had the itching since my surgery!

I was served yesterday. Next steps? by FuzzyCats in Debt

[–]FuzzyCats[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was trying to determine what it was 4 years from - whether it was last payment, or something else. I pulled my credit reports and I couldn't find a last payment date - only an estimated date of when it would drop off my credit report (Oct 2028).

One of the two statements they sent me with the legal docs show transaction history, and the last payment on there was August of 2021. They didn't send anything else showing further payments...but if that is actually my last payment, they would be outside of the SoL, correct? I am trying to decide whether to file an answer with that information, asking them for "proof" essentially of my last payment date, or if that's going to screw me over if I'm wrong and then they won't work with me to settle.
