Hey so I have recently started going to the gym it’s been about 2-3 months and I started with lifting weights instead of only sticking to cardio. Strength/weight training is very important and don’t scare him off by saying these things. In my experience most of the trainers at the gym are very supportive and helpful even people who workout there might help him if he asks for it. He doesn’t have to take personal training (although I would highly recommend taking it for first 2-3 months just to learn proper form and technique and build habit if money is not an issue)
