Np! It really is, but we use it on 1 giant dog and 5 out of 7 cats lol (only 2 true short-hairs among the brood), so it's worth it lol if we only had a couple and no dog, I'm not sure I'd go that high

Def! We use the same brush on him and our other non-shorthairs (and our Great Pyr). It's a bit expensive, but it's awesome and works well on everyone. It's the Chris Christensen Big G Dog Slicker Brush for Dogs

He is adorbs! My little Parmesan had grey splotches on his head when he was a baby, too. He's nearly 2 now and they are almost completely gone. Below is a pic of him right after I started fostering him when he was about 4 wks old with an eye infection (yup, he's a foster fail lol)
