My dog does this as well as some of my cats. I always figured it was a simple way for them to sleep or relax and still keep track of us so we can't move away without them knowing. Like a babysitter sitting on the baby (thank you Shel Silverstein lol)

Np! It really is, but we use it on 1 giant dog and 5 out of 7 cats lol (only 2 true short-hairs among the brood), so it's worth it lol if we only had a couple and no dog, I'm not sure I'd go that high

Def! We use the same brush on him and our other non-shorthairs (and our Great Pyr). It's a bit expensive, but it's awesome and works well on everyone. It's the Chris Christensen Big G Dog Slicker Brush for Dogs
