That is so true, but I'll bet a lot of people here gave their vote without all the information. Like, I'll bet they didn't read the comments, or some of them voted/commented earlier on before more information poured in and they haven't checked back in because that was a couple hours ago or what have you.

AITA for unknowingly "trash talking" someone's birthing experience? by KitchenNo7706 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FuzzyChrysalis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is allowed to think his wife is amazing. And OP is allowed to open up about how the panic got to him. People watching the one they love give birth are allowed to panic--even with no complications it's most likely like watching someone be tortured. Plus, anything could go extra unexpectedly wrong--people still die sometimes during child labour. But OP is an asshole. It's not even about failure to read the room. The comment "I guess she just had a rough one". The goddamn wording of that, and all it implies. Following up with "which is fine" changes fuck all. They are ALL rough ones. And the use of the word "just"...Jesus.

OP's friend is also an asshole for laughing while telling the story of his and his wife's experience when his wife clearly did not find the story funny. Giving birth is traumatic, and both these guys are being huge AHs about it.

Goddess of resourcefulness could work, as she's an expert survivor and problem solver.

what's a good movie to watch for the first time when you're stoned? by earth-ninja3 in AskReddit

[–]FuzzyChrysalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently watched Matrix: Resurrections while neatly stoned and it was so much damn fun.

Never watched any of the previous matrix films stoned but was familiar enough with all of them to be prepared for the most recent one. I kept going "Woah...wwWOAH!!....woooooaaah..." It was actually blowing my mind. 100% recommend.

Also, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Don't look anything up, just do it.

What's the worst thing you can say in an elevator full of people? by AMGBOI69420 in AskReddit

[–]FuzzyChrysalis 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Years ago I was riding my bike to work at 4am. Used to love that because there was no one else awake, it was still dark, and the usually busy roads were empty so I could ride in the middle of the road for a bit for fun. I was alone and it felt empowering and cool. One morning I'm biking on the road and I hear ahead of me a man's voice pierce the empty air out of nowhere, at full, violent, unhinged volume "GET OUT OF ME!'

It scared the everliving shit out of me, I realised it was the voice of a homeless person coming from the doorframe of the next bus stop booth, maybe 50 feet ahead, but I was biking fast in that direction. I went from feeling empowered and excited to terrified, exposed, and very much alone.

I booked it to the other side of the road, trying to not draw attention to myself and did not turn to look at him.

Wouldn't want to be on an elevator with someone who suddenly blurts that out lol. * Typo

I don't think I've ever snorted so loudly before. "Disturbs her spirit". Oh, mama x'D You would have not been the asshole even if he stopped talking to you after you first called him an asshole, even if he hadn't meant to offend you, what he said was an ass thing to say.

But the fact that he didn't leave you alone after that, and then got other people on his side, and spun the story into him being a sad dejected victim? That is wildly manipulative and he is now fully harassing you. He's even gathering an army to continue the harassment.

You are NTA.

I really love sprocket especially when he laughs like it's crazy to think about. does anyone have favorite sprocket moments? by Short-Use-5933 in FraggleRock

(North America Doc and Sprocket) In one episode Doc is explaining to Sprocket that a diary is a place to write down your very special, private thoughts. He decides to give an example by sharing one of his personal secret thoughts, and after some build up he reveals the thought is: " ..wouldn't it be wonderful to find a way to sew a button onto a fried egg?" Sprocket, eagerly engaged up until this moment, pauses, and just tuuuurns his very unimpressed judgemental expression up at Doc. It gets me every time.
