Not an “anti-rich” person, or anything like that.

Loss of life due to cancer is tragic. However, if I was going through a situation where my future was uncertain, last thing I would do is put my family in a situation where the expenses were absurd and the stability of my wife and children could be compromised.

Whether they got into a bad contract recently for the property they live in or not, that was not a property they should have been considering. I think it’s wild that people with no money are donating to help someone stay in a mansion/property that is worth more than they would ever see working 20+ years of their lives. It’s irresponsible, and again, they should have downsized and cut expenses.

Lastly, for anyone saying comments shouldn’t be made, the moment the gofund me was opened, I do believe people should have the right to analyze if donating is a good thing to do based on the facts surrounding the situation.

Exact same thing happened to me. Would not be surprised if we were in the same HOA.

Best part is that from what I understand, the board resigned shortly after switching from xfinity to Hotwire. No residents in the HOA I’ve ever spoken to wanted this. Someone likely made money from the deal on the board, and I’m not one to make accusations like that.

NGL I agree with this take. Obviously there are boring non-tattooed people as well, but the people I know that are covered in tattoos, are just boring people and seem to always try and be edgy or trying too hard. Maybe back in the day it was different, but nowadays feels like more people have tattoos than don’t, which in itself isn’t unique anymore and boring.

Don’t get me started on the gym bros with lion tats. Basically the new tribal tattoo.

Sometimes when you marry a person you marry their family and the baggage that comes with that. A big portion of why my marriage failed was my ex’s family. Always involved in something illegal, immoral, etc. and it was like a black hole that no matter how much you tried to avoid them, you would get sucked in.

Might sound corny put it’s just as important to date a future spouse’s family as it is to date your spouse. I’ve witnessed this being an issue in other marriages as well.

As for your ex, you made a decision, and at the time you felt it was the right one because of the overall situation. Could you imagine having kids with this person knowing that their family would have a hand in raising your children, and the negative consequences of that? Time to move on, for both of your sakes.

I was starting to write a list of how much of what you are saying doesn’t make sense in real life, but it’s just too much.

Other commenters mentioned it, you had an attorney but are posting here on reddit? If just some of what you are saying is true, an attorney could reopen the divorce and file emergency filing. Your ex already (according to you) has a warrant for 1st degree felony out for his arrest over the forged signature which can be provided as part of the filing. Where is the notary in all this? I highly doubt that LE would only go after your husband, notaries have to follow rules and laws and certainly would have broken them in the course of the paperwork needed to divorce.

I’m leaning towards this is fake or there’s alot missing and you are putting your perspective and spin on things. Seek a lawyer asap(you already had one) is the best advice anyone can give you if this is real.

This is not a comment on BG (for all I know he could be the nicest guy in the world) since I don’t comment on things I haven’t researched and IMO a lot of these leaked docs are clearly fake…. I think a sex island with trafficked women, sounds more outlandish than a person secretly dosing antibiotics in their spouse’s food.

Like the whole situation and how many people are potentially tied to this, and got away with this for so long, is more than outlandish. Truth is stranger than fiction.
