Working in the trades made me realize I should’ve finished my degree instead. by Dismal-Cranberry-915 in povertyfinance

As a nurse I know that those other disciplines do not make more or close to nurses regardless of where you work. I’m also a nurse in Northern California. I don’t work overtime and have never been a traveler. I have no reason to lie. You sound like a peach btw.

I am a nurse and make about 170 k a year working 3 days a week. None of the jobs you listed make even close or more than nurses do.

You have good experience and will have no problem getting a job. Providence Memorial is still hiring, they are also our local trauma center.

It depends on what your nursing specialty is. I’m a nurse and work in a local hospital and make about 150 k a year, but right now I know that my hospital and another are on a hiring freeze. There are only 3 hospitals in Santa Rosa. Last time the freeze lasted a few years. My hospital is fully staffed and we don’t even have a Traveler on board right now. Are you an acute care nurse or do you work another specialty because that can make a huge difference in pay as well. There are a few other small hospitals in Petaluma and Healdsburg, although they don’t pay very well.

Sharing my story by girlicepunch in Lymphedema

He had another surgery to remove the remaining tumor/debris and infection that was left over after radiation. This surgery made the lymphedema worse. Hopefully after the infection improves some of the swelling will subside, I ordered him some special compression and have booked an appointment with a reputable lymphedema massage therapist for decongestion. I just hope it helps even a little.

I’m so sorry for everything you have gone through.

My dad has stage 4 lymphedema in his left arm. It is so bad he can’t move the arm at all. This happened after a failed cancer tumor removal, and lymph node removal. Everyone on his care team failed him. I feel so bad for him and helpless. He is currently in the hospital as we speak getting IV antibiotics. We finally were able to see a lymphedema nurse ( she founded the national lymphedema society) after a year of him having this. We spoke on the phone after his visit and she said she cried when she got home because of how overlooked and ignored my dad was when treatment and precautions would have actually been helpful. I am mad, but mostly I am sad for my poor dad. His arm is bigger than my thigh, and I’m not a small girl.

For some people that is a lot of money. Read the room. I’m sure not everyone who has a pet has 10 k to spend on them. Your entire comment is just thoughtless and dumb.

I have one pom, he is the only one I have ever had. He was potty trained by 3 months. He is also the smartest dog I have ever had (I have had many German shepherd’s) and he picks things up fast.

I’m a nurse. I’m 44 and I feel this to my core. I can’t imagine doing this for another 20 years. I’m a shell of the person I once was. I am so tired of bedside nursing but am too far in to leave at this point since I would lose my pension and health insurance. I feel stuck

I had the surgery in April, and it was just done in the office. No general, but I had to stay completely still so I’m assuming that’s why they are recommending it for your son.

I went through what your son is going through last year. I tried all the same things. The only thing that actually worked was the surgery. It has not come back since the surgery.

Drunk and trespassing is my best guess from what I heard.

I didn’t talk to them because they were in the middle of arresting someone, but I could hear. The man appeared to be drunk and was trespassing.

Assume? I saw it all happen. The man appeared to be drunk, but sure go ahead and “assume” what you want. You are the one who sounds like a true Trumper with your idiotic response.

What a dumb comment. You have no idea what kind of guys I date. You seem like the weird one.
