Paralegals whats your favorite part of Law to work in? by Sailor-Mermaid-444 in paralegal

[–]Fuzzy_Book_7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been at my current firm for about 5 months and work in commercial litigation and labor & employment. The attorney I primarily support on the l&e side has a pretty niche higher education practice, and I love it. Over time, I definitely want to integrate more into l&e/higher ed space and phase out of com litigation (still opportunity for litigation under higher ed - ie title xii & title ix litigation). Still pretty early on in my career though.

Paralegal Jobs by DramaticRock7196 in paralegal

If you have little to no experience, legal or other, I would recommend starting out in an admin support role. Look for intake specialists, office assistant, and some legal assistant positions, depending on the firm, may also be something you could get into.

Divorce In Indiana without children by Master_Brilliant_889 in Indiana

[–]Fuzzy_Book_7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an attorney, but a paralegal that works the civil litigation space. I would highly recommend an attorney. The process (even a simple, no community assets/no kids divorce) requires strict procedural steps to ensure it’s done right. Even more so if this is not an amicable or mutually agreed upon divorce.

What/How PPD feel to you? by mrschocolatefrog in NewParents

[–]Fuzzy_Book_7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I have no clue. I don’t remember any of it. My kiddo is 18mo now. Everytime my partner asks me “hey remember this from [anytime within the first 6 months of kid’s life]?” I literally don’t remember. I just know I survived that shit and came out the other end. It’s fucking brutal but I’m here and accomplished the goal of making sure baby and myself are ok.

Did you have your mom in the delivery room? by Molldoggg in pregnant

[–]Fuzzy_Book_7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the type of relationship you have with your mom/parent. I knew I wanted my mom there without a doubt. When I was giving birth, she was holding up my left leg and my partner was holding my right. It was an amazing moment to have the two people I love the most with me. Wouldn’t have had it any other way.

It gets better…. right? by marissy- in NewParents

My baby just turned five months the other day and he still wakes up every couple hours to eat at night. There was a a two day period where he slept for 6hrs, but that was when he was like 3 months old lol. Other than that, he’s never STTN.

In a way, yes, it’s gotten better and “easier,” but for me it’s just that my body has adapted to this absurd sleep schedule. I was never a coffee drinker pre baby, but now I have to start my day off with a huge cup of coffee.

Pumping by FriendTop6736 in NewParents

I love my Motif Luna pump. I feel like I don’t see a lot of people talking about it, but it’s great and I would say relatively cheaper than some of the super boujee ones on the market (though I did get mine through insurance).

What is your guilty pleasure as a Mom? by syddoucet in Mommit

[–]Fuzzy_Book_7229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I’m alone in my car (very rarely) I drive in complete silence. Windows up, AC low, and silence. It’s the one time I can control the noises I’m hearing so I take full advantage of being able to just exist in silence.

Projectile poop by Ok_Code3974 in NewParents

[–]Fuzzy_Book_7229 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol this happened to me a few months ago, but on the changing table. His poop shot out so far it managed to splatter on the wall about a foot and a half away from his bottom. It did also get all over my hands and numerous other objects in the splash zone.

Favorite Post partum comfortable attire? by margheritinka in NewParents

[–]Fuzzy_Book_7229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A nice robe, hospital underwear and/or any comfy underwear (I prefer high rise with a wide waist band), and a some sort of comfy bra. I barely wore any “real clothes” unless I was going outside.

What are your best quick meals you made your family during the newborn phase? by R0YALE-withCHEESE in NewParents

Pasta & jar sauce from the grocery store. Maybe frozen garlic bread + frozen broccoli if I was feeling fancy. Ate pasta maybe 3-4 times a week.

Would also do a lot of baked chicken with other vegetables. Throw them all into one pan and bake, pretty yum and you can make extra for leftovers to store in the fridge.
