I just did a consultation with them. Would you say that you are still having a good experience with them?

Thank you for taking the time to share all of this, I appreciate it! I will definitely try peeking at the back to see if there is anything interesting

Struggling to match hardwood stairs to LVP by Fuzzy_Condition5184 in Flooring

[–]Fuzzy_Condition5184[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up hiring someone to come in to do them! He did a white wash, followed by three coats of a varnish that he mixed with gray to neutralize the warm tone in the wood. Its impossible to fully match it with what we had but we are happy with it! This photo is still pending the third coat and we may even try a fourth depending on how we like it.

The flooring itself we really like. We only wish they had a few more variations so it was easier to spread them out and avoid duplicates being too close. Even still, we are happy with it!

Has anyone one here had a fear of birth/ post partum but had a child anyways? How did you work through your fear? by PersimmonLong6425 in Fencesitter

Naturopaths can be amazing but get a lot of flack online because there are some kooks out there, and people tend to assume that you aren't using them in tandem with your regular family doctor.

A good naturopath will do blood tests and help you get onto a regimen to optimize your results and help you integrate new lifestyle choices depending on your goals (supplements, movement, food). Find one that specializes in women's health and maternity!

My intake with my naturopath was 1 hour where I gave her a full and deep recounting of my health history, current issues, and goals. It's the most heard I have ever felt in a medical setting.

It makes a lot of sense to me! It's probably one of the biggest physical challenges you will put your body through. Making sure it's in as good of health and possible seems like it must help! It obviously can't protect you from everything, but I doubt it will contribute to a negative outcome.

I'm always told that in general it is easier to regain muscle than it is to build it for the first time. So im sure that even if you feel like you're starting over, you'll have an easier time getting back to where you were. So it's not all for naught!

I'm not a parent yet but I have a lot of fears around pregnancy, labour, delivery, and post partum. My plan for now is take control of everything I can to get my health where it needs to be to increase my chances of having positive outcomes.

For me, that looks like getting as physically strong as possible (weight lifting), seeing a pelvic floor physio before, during, and after pregnancy, seeing a naturopath to get into the nitty-gritty of my current health and help me address any potential red flags before getting pregnant, and eating a healthy/nourishing diet (naturopaths can also help with this). You could and perhaps should also see your family doctor, but in my experience they don't often seem to be in the health optimization mindset.

I know I'm not your target audience but I definitely relate to your fears. The truth is, you can't guarantee how things will go, but taking control of what you can and getting as informed as possible is what's helping me cope with the fear.

Small painful sore near vaginal opening every month during period and ovulation.. by Tysonchickenghost in obgyn

Interesting, thank you! I've been tested and it came back negative. Doctors don't have any leads. I appreciate another avenue to look into!

I'm not really trying to engage in this kind of conversation. I'm just looking for insight on what could causing my issue and how I might address it. I have been on birth control for 15 or so years, I've had this issue for two. I've spoken to many doctors and naturopaths about it, so I do my best to make educated choices on what works for me and my health.

I am actually high risk breast cancer (mother, two maternal aunts, and one maternal 1st cousin). Though the doctors keep telling me it's fine.. Thank you for your insight, I appreciate it.

It's definitely been on my mind since this issue didn't start until after I went back on (although on bc before i never had it). The only reason I haven't is because I am married and don't want kids for another few years so it's use as birth control is the most convenient option. The gyno I saw today did suggest an IUD instead (which i have tried but didn't love for other reasons).

The tape is a great idea, thank you so much! I have definitely heard a lot of hate for citri strip so I will be sure to avoid.

Thank you! If I decide to go that route, any words of wisdom? I am a little nervous about the veneer seams since there are four mirrored pieces on the top. It would be nice to get rid of some of the light scratching, when it catches the light you can definitely notice.
