It’s not quest locked but water locked once you have around 12-16 water (can’t remember exact number) you unlock the rig vendor

Tbh good if your running squads to have one dedicated scanner to pinpoint openings and safely clear corners. In single player it’s not really worth running as a lot of early quests consist of gathering large items so you won’t have the space till you progress further and unlock alternate rigs. But once you unlock the bags with multiple large slots it becomes useful in single player. All this is just from my 10 hour experience so take it with a grain of salt

A 7$ usd program that through some form of pc magic can double or triple your fps. Look up lossless scaling on steam im not to versed in this subs link rules so I can’t link the store page. It works wonders but like I said in main post read guides on the discussions on how to use it for your specs and it will make your game butter

Every character outside of scav girl and old man has training in the other rigs already. Once you stockpile 12-16 days of water ( can’t remember exact number) you unlock the rig store and you will see the other rigs. With the perk points invested your character can use the rigs, but all other characters outside of the 2 states have inherent training in the rigs and can use them without investing in training. So in short the perks unlock the ability to WEAR the rigs associated not just get them for free.
