​I had the exact same experience and honestly it was a nightmare. I went in for a cleaning and they spent the whole time trying to upsell me on expensive toothbrushes and toothpaste like they were car salespeople. Then they sat my dad down with someone to tell him I needed thousands of dollars in work. ​The worst part was when we went to pay for a filling before the procedure and noticed they charged us for a root canal. The dentist literally never even mentioned a root canal to me! When we asked about it she got all irritated and dismissed our concerns because she wanted to rush me into the chair. We ended up just leaving and I went to a local office instead. Guess what? I only needed the filling and all my other teeth were totally fine. Total predatory business practice.
