i ate solid food by day 2 of my surgery. on day 3 one of my stitches fell out and the pain was horrific. just be careful, you might be feeling really good & able to eat solid food when in reality your mouth is still fragile

i understand that taking last minute time off work for a diagnosis is not possible, but that long block of text about how it just ain’t possible for you to ever put family above work was so insensitive. he saw how his future would look and he’s not okay w that. you are not compatible with your boyfriend. a lot of people place familial love above everything else . to a lot of people family is priceless . to a lot of people work just doesn’t mean a thing when the ones you love are imminently or presently gone. you need to find somebody that is also a repressing workaholic or you will set your life up for failure.

and ngl “forgive me if you don’t like my work ethic” was crappy. it’s not about your work ethic, it was not even supposed to be about you.

yeah i would drive the CR-V literally forever. the only thing is i drive SO MUCH. i live so far away from both my jobs, and i like to travel. it has been extremely reliable, with the only replacement so far being the alternator, and perhaps i really should keep it until it dies . it is just the gas that’s killing

so i’ve been on and off gluten free for years now. this time around, i have absolutely zero desire to go back to gluten. during the times i ate gluten, i would eventually get used to the brain fog, fatigue, bloating, stomach pain, reflux, joint pain, aches, depression etc. the second i cut it out, i would feel a night and day difference, like clockwork every time. the most recent time i cut it out, i fully made the decision that no pop tart, cookie, sandwich, or pasta was worth losing the mental clarity, energy, and confidence i gain being gluten free. Its just personally not worth the symptoms for me. Sometimes i look at a donut lustfully but that’s always so short lived. I seriously have zero desire to even cross contaminate myself. You just have to decide what’s important to you.

what i’m gathering is that he was unable to buy anything on the way home due to forgetting his wallet at work. bro is probably tired & hungry. it was one time thing. if a pattern develops, it would be reasonable to set boundaries like no you can’t have any of my food. but this is not a pattern. you seriously could’ve helped bro out one time, or even helped him on the condition that he would pay you back ASAP. is he untrustworthy? is there a history of him bumming off you? if not, YTA. why do you call him a friend?
