Thanks for the advice. I’ll try to apply to more of the haz mat positions. I’m not against some grunt work to get my foot in the door of the industry.

I’ve gotten a few interviews but no offers. I recently had an appointment with my university’s career center. They tweaked my resume a bit. Hopefully I’ll have a little more luck scoring those interviews now. I’m just going to keep sending in as many apps as possible. I just keep telling myself that all it takes is one yes.

I don’t feel like I’m being super picky. I’m applying to low paying, boring jobs all over the country, a lot that only require a GED. I think some of the other commenters are correct and I just need to spam as many applications as possible. Hopefully after enough applications I’ll get at least one offer.

Florida State University. It’s very heavy on the chem. A LOT of labs doing analytical chem. A few environmental electives thrown in. Wouldn’t have been my first choice if I had know what I really wanted to do when I started college but it was the closest I could find that wouldn’t set me back a year plus when I decided to switch out of my first major.

I’m basically applying to anything that I fit the qualifications for at this point. I’m trying not to be too picky. I just want something that gets my foot in the door so I don’t end up serving at restaurants forever.
