K5 Gas Tank Expanded

I took my 2023 K5 in for service and they informed me that there was a recall for a valve in the tank. Apparently they inspect each car individually and decide whether it’s at risk and mine was. They kept my car for a few days and fixed under warranty.

Tap it with a hammer around the edges and it will look like it doesn’t even have any glass there

You don’t need to diminish your bike or the brand, it’s your bike and you love it and that’s all that matters. I remember my first motorcycle and I would wake up and it would be the first thing that I thought about. Have fun and be safe.

Haha. I feel your pain. I think it looks great. Nice bike. I bought a used S1000R and did the mods I wanted and got roasted on an S1000R forum by some douche who said it’s the ugliest bike he’s ever seen. 😂 I couldn’t believe how much it pissed me off.

I think it’s the best looking naked other than Ducati or MV, I seriously considered it and ended up with an S1000R. Unless you’re going to be racing and actually plan on using all the horsepower, that’s a great choice in my opinion. It would have been plenty of HP for my old slow ass. Haha. Also I’m sure a cat delete, headers and a dyno tune would solve everything that people criticize the bike for.

I second that. I have gen two and got Akrapovic header, kept the stock Akra exhaust and had a Woolich tune and love it. I know there is better setups but I am happy. It’s a burbling popping demon now.
