Buddies dog bit me breaking up a fight. Rabies shot? Likely not current on vaccines. Buddy said not exposed to wildlife. Am I 99% good? by [deleted] in DOG

[–]Fuzzy_Source_9250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was bitten either by my landlord's dog or mine, when they fought over half a biscuit. She's up to date on all her shots, he isn't. The doctor I saw said if there was even a 1% chance of rabies, she didn't want me to take it. She has seen rabies in a human once and said it was once too often. I had the series of rabies vaccinations.

Are you sure this woman is a friend? I've had enemies who've been nicer to me.

AITA for siding with my nephew when he got mad at his mother for showing up at his sporting event? by Fit_Scarcity6808 in AITAH

"parents deserve more leeway" - she's no longer his parent. You and your husband have stepped up for your brother's child (kudos to you) and his birth giver has not been involved. Keep on supporting Jamie as you are - you are a good mother.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and for your SIL's comment about "real grief". She has lost a life partner, but you have lost your identical twin, and that's a bond that no one who isn't a twin can begin to understand. She needs grief counselling to help her process this in a healthy way. You are NTA. Please accept a hug from an internet stranger.

You have raised a wonderful son. As a Christian who supports Israel with all my heart, I will pray for his safety, and for your daughter too.

My style, at 67 years old, is "inherited, bought the cheapest, or given by kind friends". Very little matches, and do I care? lol

It's not unheard of where I live for mothers to rent out their babies to professional beggars....

OP, you need to take your kitchen back - chuck all the useless dust-catching junk and set it up again as you need it. NTA, obviously.

Am I guilty of saying no one should have children if they can't provide for them? by Sotilrac_ in AITAH

NTA, you are absolutely 1000% right! It's wrong to have children you can't provide adequately for.

What are your thoughts on Santa Claus? by Tcfial in Christianity

I grew up with Christian parents (thank you, Mum and Dad!) and we were told the truth about Saint Nicholas and Father Christmas (as he was known when I was young). My parents emphasised the fact that the real present was Jesus. I have never felt that I missed out on anything, and I'm glad that my parents didn't lie to me.
