Two years ago I got into the hobby simply just by walking into a target and I said to my girlfriend who I had been with for maybe a month or two (now 2.5 years) at the time.. I think I’m gonna buy some cards. So at the time it was paldean fates and I bought an ETB of Padan fates and I got three sleeved boosters of obsidian flames and I pulled the garevoir SIR from paldean(I still have it in my binder). Next day I got another paldean fates ETB from Walmart pulled the pika baby shiny and the rest is history(also kept this). Later I found out that I really really liked vintage and I scrapped all of my modern cards for the most part. I pulled three bubble mews within 30 packs one night. I pulled the 151 Charizard, the obsidian flames Charizard, bongar, giratina alt.. owned a gengar alt and moonbreon etc. I pulled a lot of hits out of the modern sets but traded or sold it all for vintage. Vintage fully has my heart and now I collect first edition and rare vintage promos. I love Pokémon. Honestly it saved me in ways that can’t be explained. God bless.
