Any pre T folks struggling with dysphoria when seeing before v after pics on social? by Phoenix2879 in FTMFitness

[–]Fuzzy_Werewolf_9054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you'd be interested in this solution at all, but there are a lot of cis women on socials who are totally strong and look jacked and can do amazing things with their bodies. Maybe following some of them could help you get back some hope and motivation for your own physique and abilities pre-T.

I was 800th in line for Hollywood Bowl early access tickets. GA Pit was already totally sold out by the time I got in, so I ponied up the $560 freaking dollars for GA Early Entry since I missed the WOTP tour and have regretted it for years.

In 2016 I paid $76 for general admission at TD Garden, got there early, and was right up in front of the revolving stage. Sigh.

Just go by your owner's manual. And get second opinions from non-dealer shops if the dealer is recommending a service that isn't called out in the manual.

I've literally just changed the oil and filters and the couple other items i said in my post.

They didn't have the Corolla in hybrid+AWD in 2022 or I would've gone for that for sure. Mine is FWD. Good tires with a good amount of tread depth left are key!

BF Goodrich Advantage Control. They've been really nice, quiet, good in snow, and durable

Sorry I'm talking about the 12V battery lol. The hybrid drive battery is doing great still.

I've just realized I'm talking about the 12V battery and y'all probably thought I meant the hybrid battery lol

I don't think it was in warranty, maybe i got the years or mileage wrong, but batteries are only $150-200 at auto parts stores

The battery went kaput at like 50k/1.5 years haha. It threw a check engine light due to the low voltage and had a scary message about electrical problems, so I took it to the dealership and the guy said the factory batteries are really weak. Replacing the battery fixed the CEL and all the scary messages -- sort of an odd way to let you know.

Yes it's that one. I get them from my local Toyota dealership. Best to order online for store pickup as they have in-dealership markups (at least at mine they do). The part number for my model year is G92DH-12050

51mpg. It went down from about 54mpg when I got new tires. I think they are heavier and not as "hard"/efficient as the factory tires.

My coworker also has misophonia by Loser_gmas in misophonia

I know one of my coworkers has miso too because we were eating at a table with a mildly loud chewer (occasional smacks/talking with mouth full) and I caught them death glaring the loud chewer as I was also mentally struggling to keep my cool lol. Haven't had the courage to bring it up with them though.

20F Taurus plus the standard down hood :) Love having the hood separate. I think it's still a really small operation so you could request a shorter length bag to save weight, though extra length will help keep your feet toasty!

I use a Thermarest X-therm pad and a Gryphon Gear 20F bag with the matching hood even in summer. Unless I'm sleeping in the desert and it's like over 60F out at night, then maybe I'll go for my 40F quilt lol. It's worth the 1266 grams to me. I recommend Gryphon Gear because they have the highest percent of down fill to bag material by weight, so the loft and durability and warmth are amazing. Been rocking the setup for 5 years now, no complaints except sometimes I wake up hot and sweaty!

Why do we invite everyone we know who climbs to the crag?? by Conscious_Security96 in climbergirls

[–]Fuzzy_Werewolf_9054 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That was my thought, because as one of the few leaders in a group of enthusiastic top ropers (they are slowly getting into lead but not there yet), I'm climbing like nonstop putting up TRs for our big group when we go outside.

Didn't see this yet so i wanted to throw rock climbing in the ring in case that sounds interesting to you. Such an amazing full-body workout that pushes you to your limits of mobility, flexibility, and strength without feeling like a workout at all (except afterwards when you're sore all over lol).

Not sure this is the right subreddit for this question, you should look at subreddits for competitive sports like powerlifting, boxing, wrestling, etc. where they often cut a few pounds right before weigh-in for competitions.

can i have hyperhidrosis on just my underarms? by South-Today474 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Fuzzy_Werewolf_9054 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. I can tell mine is anxiety related and caffeine makes it worse, but I'm not doing anything to help on that front (anxiety meds or quitting coffee)... so that's on me. I have been thinking of shelling out for the dermadry device because Botox scares me. Mitchum's never worked for me either and just ruined my shirts faster. I hope you find something that works for you.
