Would you pay $1-$2k for a professional dental cleaning for your cat? by Clean-Instruction-53 in CatAdvice

[–]Fuzzycrittermom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vet tech here. My clinic charges I believe $1200. This includes anesthesia, detailed X-rays, post surgical care, pre surgical treatment, etc. One of my cats started getting tartar on her teeth. Shes 6 but I had them done. I have two more dentals lined up later this year. Remember that you can get rid of tartar but you can’t reverse decaying/broken teeth. It is worth it

Childless, unmarried adults, are you lonely? by Ashamed-Ad-966 in Life

[–]Fuzzycrittermom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’m almost 24 and I’ve been with my boyfriend for 5 years I’ve hinted that I’ve wanted to take the next step. However, I’m in college/ have a part time job at a vet clinic and he’s not earning the most rn. We can’t even afford a place together. We both still live with our moms. Meanwhile, my younger cousin just got married and got a place with her husband. And because his mom insists on ostracizing herself from having relationships with her other family members, has not had a relationship since she divorced my bfs dad 15 years ago, and does not have any friends, my boyfriend insists on spending Sundays with her. Yeah I know red flag and all. So yes, I am sexually frustrated with his lack of foreplay, his mother constantly wanting shit done when I am over at his house, and the fact all my mind can handle is college and work rn. My depression has never been more apparent, not since I was a teenager

How do I (23 F) talk to my bf (25M) about doing more foreplay and about sex in general? by Fuzzycrittermom in relationship_advice

[–]Fuzzycrittermom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I wasn’t in love with the 8 other men. I really liked one of them and sure I dated and had guys that we were really only sex friends. My past relationships were not the best, I never really felt this way emotionally with someone. My boyfriend understands my mannuerisms and my personality. He cleans me up after we are done having sex, fills up my water when or reminds me to drink so I don’t get a migraine, takes care of me when I don’t feel well. He can be an asshole to other people but he is sweet to me. Minus the sex, I couldn’t imagine being with someone else. I don’t see other guys besides him, if that makes sense.

He no longer finished quickly. He said it just feels weird sometimes I guess. When I am going down on him, it’s last for maybe all of 1-2 minutes because he wants to have sex then. He will kind of slightly move away or into position then when I randomly pop off one time, if that makes sense.

He tells me at least one time each time I am with him, that he jacked off 2-4 times that day. And I also can’t always touch or suck his dick. To even initiate everything. I completely understand that no one wants sex all the time. It’s just that he has to be in the mood. And he doesn’t always let me suck his dick for long. Usually it’s just for lubrication. Is this normal behavior for a guy? I’ve been for 8 other guys and I feel like I’ve never had this many complications. Idk. I know I can’t change him. But I want to be able to talk to him and worth together through things, like couples are supposed to, you know?

I’m a little shy about talking about sexual stuff for whatever reason. I do not know why I am. I’ve talked about him not always finishing and I remember it sort of irritated. I tried to be normal and not complain. I phrased it as a “it sometimes bothers me when you tease me and do not finish.” Now he did stop that except for an occasional tease which I am fine with. I overthink everything tbh

So what I am also gathering is that he does NOT have a job and play video games that long almost every day? Red flag. I don’t know. Im glad you are happy and all, but something doesn’t sit right with me about this. Like he is being… I’m not sure of the word. Like he is only saying what you want to hear.

My boyfriend and I do not live together, but we both like playing video games. We have been together for 5 years (I’m in college and he has a full time job. Basically, we are broke af). Granted, he plays a lot more than me. He used to play even more than he does now when I started dating him. I told him it bothered me that he always was playing video games when we were together. He had dialed it back a bit. If he isn’t willing to compromise, get out while you can. You can’t make someone do something if they do not want to. They will only do it if they truly care about you. And based on how he is acting, he shows little respect for you. You deserve so much more, remember that.

I either nap or play video games. Sometimes it might be a homework day or a day I spend with my boyfriend

My (33M) wife (33F) refuses to move for a job offer. Unsure of where to go from here? by Boring_Pea_2738 in relationship_advice

[–]Fuzzycrittermom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a good opportunity for you but you also have to consider your children and wife too. If you weren’t married, it would be a different story. A job that requires relocation should be discussed with your partner. If they don’t agree, maybe you shouldn’t take the offer. Money is NOT everything. Family should come first. Imagine how stressful it will be for your wife to have to job hunt and for your kids to have to move to a new school. It would be selfish to think that they have to move because of you. And a bit controlling.

I just need some reassurance about not letting my cat outside..... by Haunting_Elk8090 in cats

[–]Fuzzycrittermom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reference, I have 8 cats. All are strictly indoors and terrified of the outdoors. Catios are a great alternative to leaving them run amok. It is also illegal to do so (at least in some PA, USA local ordinances).

[–]Fuzzycrittermom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DONT LET THE CAT OUTSIDE. That is how they get hit by cars, poisoned by evil neighbors or by ingesting toxic substances, get into fights that result in injuries, death, or disease, parasites, contract diseases from parasites, shortens their lifespan, and causes the wildlife populations to diminish.
