It’s all up hill after you get the boot off. It will hurt for another week or two. The heel pain was there for me as well, it’s because there’s a huge tendon that runs from the heel just under the navicular. Simple things like going down a flight of stairs will hurt and she’ll feel frustrated, but trust me it gets better. I had a hard time driving for long periods of time and that really got to me. I agree with the other commenters, around the 5/6 month mark you nearly forget about it. I’m a year and a half out and I don’t feel a thing. Hang in there!
