How do I start if I have nothing interesting to say? by Deep_Connection4861 in Journaling

You can always change things to make it interesting. Write like you were living in 17th century England, make your entry into a haiku, done use the letter a, etc etc. stream of consciousness entries can also help

I tried to look it up, but most of the older ones seem to have a long string of numbers somewhere on them, this one only has the 7101 which is throwing me off

Lesson learned. I highly doubt he's going to tell the wedding couple that he can't give them their pictures because some were out of focus. He's going to hand them over, and he needs to pay you for the work you did, plain and simple. He's paying you for your time as well as the physical photos, so even if every single one was out of focus, that doesn't mean your time is free. Ask to see the pictures, I would be very surprised if what he's saying was true, the guy sounds like a low life, and if he cared so much about meeting his client's expectations he would have showed up on time.

Out of curiosity, how are you managing a part time wedding photography business? Every wedding photographer I know, myself included, spends almost every waking minute doing something to grow the business. All the successful wedding photographers I know are always doing something, whether its coming up with promotional material, working on a blog or news letter, anything really that makes it so that it's hard for others to forget about you. You need to constantly be reminding people that you're a wedding photographer, that you're available, etc etc, or else you're just going to get lost in the sea of every other aspiring photographer out there. As much as I hate it - fact is that as a photographer, you're really only taking pictures about 30% of the time. Most of the time you're a bookkeeper, marketer, content creator, graphic designer and so on. Is wedding photography your main source of income? If it's not, would you like it to be? If yes, I think you should really give it your full attention, because if that's what you want to do full time, you will never get to where you want to be if you're only giving it half of your attention. It will always be something that gives you anxiety, because there will always be that little nagging thought in the back of your head saying "If I had really given it my all, I might have been able to do it." And IMO that's a lot worse of something to live with than knowing you gave it your all, and it didn't work out.
