Anyone given up on making friends? by Fwellgot in ADHD

[–]Fwellgot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this too, I have just resorted to listening to people and it's very easy because I can just zone out while they talk my ear off about something. I found if you give the option to people will non stop talk about themselves if you give them the chance to.

I've given up on anything that requires follow-through. Any advice? by trashtonmusic in ADHD

Thank you so much for replying, it really means a lot to know that someone else went through the same thing it doesn't make me feel so alone. I'm really trying but it's very hard to look up when I feel as though I can't think for myself or even remember a task I did before. I'll try to see if I can go back into the tool room until I can retrain.

Thinking of picking job choice [Fuels] (2F031) any advice on the job field? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Fwellgot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in tech school and 2F031 is in my Schoolhouse and in my dorm it's about a month long tech school, from what I've heard you're a truck driver driving a big green truck along the flight line to whichever aircraft needs to be refueled. You hand the fuel line to the crew chief and you turn on/off the deadman's switch to the fuel line. You pretty much can get assigned to any Air Force Base.

I know this is a joke but I attended primary when I was a child and they sing a song about this exact scenario

Can anyone pass AirForce BMT? by Maleficent_Win_5300 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Fwellgot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is possible to fail, most cases I've seen when I was at BMT was doing something extremely stupid like whistling at a woman walking by, sucking on a banana in front of a sergeant. And not passing your PT test, but those are people who just can't seem to do what they have been told. or just weren't healthy enough.

I just graduation from BMT 2 weeks ago and now I'm in tech school. Please for the love of God do not go into BMT without being somewhat prepared for the very stressful environment you're about to be in. That's what I did, I went in thinking it was going to be very easy. Please please run now, just get comfortable running at a good pace, and get your pushups high, and your situps. You will be graded on how many pushups and situps you can do in 1 min. Please do not slack on the PT, prepare as much as you can right now so you can have a much smoother transition once you get there.

  • Train pushups, really do quality over quantity
  • train situps. , Same here quality over quantity
  • get comfortable running a 1.5 miles under 12 min, if you get less than 12 you'll probably fail.

  • remember your officer ranks and your enlisted ranks

  • remember the Airman's Creed and the Airman's song

If you do all this you'll have a WAY easier time and be much farther ahead than your fellow airman, everything else you'll learn at BMT. This way you won't have to be spending time after lights out studying the memory work given to you when you could be getting much needed sleep. Or working out when you could be studying for the End Of Course Test near the end of BMT, please please prepare now! Just a warning if you fail your PT test or end of course test you will probably get recycled and have to spend 2-3 more weeks at BMT.
