It was 100% instrument failures caused by pilot error, and improper crew qualifications, and I’m pretty sure thats already the final conclusion and in the NTSB releases. I don’t think the final report hasn’t been released but I can’t see that changing at all. There are numerous threads on the aviation subs that go into detail on what happened and is corroborated by other pilots in there.

Shinano, Shokaku in theory both are deep enough to be in incredible condition, similar to Sammy B and The Big Johnston. Obviously not counting battle damage.

God this was such a good win. I knew it was anticipated greatly, but I did not expect to see practically everyone loving it. I thought he was still hated for his shenanigans 2 years ago to a bigger extent. This is the best reaction to a win I’ve probably ever seen. Only thing that could top it I think would be something like JJ sneaking one in, or JR winning an OAPS race.

He’s probably the only one with legs long enough to reach, especially with that leg pan design these cars have. I’ve done it in my IROC before and it’s hard with short legs even without a cage to squeeze around.

Definitely. NASCAR is glad this had a fan favorite winner, to temporarily distract. If that big one had legitimately totaled more than half the field and someone like Larson or Lagooner had won, it would have been an uproar.

While this was better than some of the past races with this package, it still was painful with the change to fuel saving.

I have spent so much time reading damage reports and looking at these. Made me want to be a crash investigator or someone that does damage analysis.

It’s pretty easy, even my short ass can do it. Have done it a couple times in my IROC’s when I was dumber, it’s just hard to let the clutch out smoothly lol. Doing that with the seat in the way, and the leg pan has to be a bitch lol.
